Bunnykoo: How did your event go, minimochi?
Minimochi: Much better than I expected. How did your party go?
Bunnykoo: Really, really well. I...uh...actually met this very attractive man. I hope that doesn't upset you.
Minimochi: Oh really? It doesn't because...well, I met this incredibly attractive man too. That doesn't mean I want us to stop talking though. I didn't even get his number or anything. I just...thought he was really good looking. That's all.
Bunnykoo: Same here. I didn't get my guy's number either. I actually kind of felt guilty. He was gorgeous and the chemistry was definitely there, but I love talking to you and getting to know your personality. I didn't want to give that up just yet. It kind of felt like I was cheating on you somehow. Does that even make sense? We've only been talking online for three weeks, I know.
Minimochi: No it definitely makes sense. I feel the same way. I felt really drawn to him, but with you there's just this undeniable connection. I really like talking to you, Bunnykoo.
Bunnykoo: Me too, minimochi.
Jungkook
I put my phone away feeling more determined than ever to ignore the pull of attraction I felt toward the man across the table from me. I had agreed to lunch with Jin-hyung, Chae-young, Taehyung, and Jisoo mostly in part so I could have another look at Jimin as he tagged along. As pathetic as it sounded, I wanted my cake and to eat it too. I didn't want to cheat, but I wasn't actually dating minimochi and I wasn't going to do anything but stare at Jimin.
Maybe I didn't deserve either one. Maybe I actually was pathetic. No matter what I was, I was definitely in trouble. How could I like two men at once?
Jimin
Of course he has a good personality. Of course he makes me laugh. Of course he's really sweet and kind and generous and caring. Of course he's sarcastic and lovingly teases his hyung. Of course he just keeps showing me that he's everything I want and more. After our fourth group meetup, he was even starting to make Bunnykoo look less appealing. I felt terrible even thinking that as I had gotten closer and closer with the mystery man online.
If only they could just be the same person. Then life wouldn't be so complicated.
"Jimin! Watch out!"
Thick, strong arms wrapped around me as my feet slid out from under me. My Chelsea boots slid against the tile as I stepped in a soapy puddle. I gasped, whether from the fall or from the man keeping me from hitting the ground, I didn't know. I opened my tightly scrunched eyes to find myself inches from Jungkook's face, his breath fanning across my face and smelling of cinnamon.
"T-thank you," I breathed out, clutching his biceps.
We stayed like that a moment too long before Jungkook cleared his throat. "Mmm. Yes. You're...you're welcome, Jiminie. Are you okay?"
I nodded, not trusting myself to speak and he slid his arms from me. I gulped, not wanting to ask him not to let go.
Bunnykoo: Can we meet in person? I really feel like after the last six weeks, it might be time.
Minimochi: I think it might be as well. Where would you like to meet?
Bunnykoo: There's a little cafe across the park on Deojung street. Do you know it?
Minimochi: Oh yeah! My best friend loves going there. Serendipity Cafe, right?
Bunnykoo: That's the one! My hyung introduced me to it after his friend showed him and now it's my favorite.
Minimochi: It's my favorite too. We have entirely too much in common. What time and day?
Bunnykoo: Are you free tomorrow at 9 pm?
Minimochi: Yes. I'll see you there. I can't wait to finally meet you face to face Bunnykoo.
Bunnykoo: Neither can I, minimochi. See you there!
*At Serendipity Cafe*
Jimin
I waited by the entry door to the cafe Bunnykoo had chosen. It was such a cute little place, all done up with purple paint and galaxy patterns splashed across the tall walls. Even the ceiling had been painted to look like a sun and a moon.
It was such a peaceful, happy place for me and now I would finally get to meet the mystery man I'd been growing more and more fond of. Jungkook was still a complete plague on my thoughts, but sometimes I dared to put his face on the unknown Bunnykoo's.
"No way," A deep voice behind me gasped.
I turned to see Jungkook holding a single rose. He was clearly dressed well for the occasion. Perhaps a little too well for the small cafe. I struggled to keep my breathing even as I looked him up and down.
"Jungkook? What are you doing here?"
"I'm meeting someone. This guy I've been talking to on this dating app my hyung made me download," he replied a bit breathlessly.
Ouch. That stung a bit, but I didn't exactly have room to talk since I was doing the same.
"Oh really? I am too," I beamed at him.
He nodded, still looking a bit stunned. "Yeah. I think...I think I might have found him actually."
I scrunched my face in confusion and glanced around. "Oh. Really? Where is he?"
"Jiminie...I think...I think it's you."
The air rushed out of my lungs as my eyes bugged out of my head. "No way. B-Bunnykoo?"
"Fuck. It really is you. Minimochi?"
Feeling as though I were in some sort of dream and the world had slowed down, I nodded. "That's...that's me. You're really Bunnykoo? It's actually you? All this time?"
"And to think I felt so guilty wanting Jimin, but not being able to give up minimochi either," he said with a disbelieving laugh.
I chuckled and blushed. "I felt the same way. I even pictured your face as I talked to Bunnykoo sometimes."
"Well, you really couldn't have been more spot on with that one," he laughed, handing me the rose.
I sniffed it and smiled sweetly at him. He tugged me by my waist toward him. "Want to skip the cafe and go talk for a bit?"
I couldn't help myself. I quirked an eyebrow and smirked. "Just talk?"
