Jimin plopped down onto the overstuffed couch in his living room.  He'd just been kicked out of his own kitchen and, with an eye roll and a chuckle, had agreed to just pick the movie and leave the cooking to his husband.  Apparently he wanted to make him something special tonight.  He'd learned a new recipe and was eager to see how it would turn out, so Jimin left him to it and scrolled through the dozens of movies on their streaming service.

"You're going to hate what I picked out," Jimin shouted, landing on Business Proposal for the third re-watch this year.

"I'm not watching the notebook again, Jimin," a voice retorted from the kitchen.

"It's not the notebook," Jimin giggled, tugging some blankets and pillows down from their hallway linen closet.

"I'm not watching Business Proposal again, either."

Jimin huffed and frowned, poking his head into the kitchen.  "Awww, come on.  Just one more time.  I promise I'll wait until next year to watch it again."

Round, doe eyes met his and melted.  "Fine.  But only because I'm a sucker for that cute, pouty face you're making.  One of these days it won't work on me and you'll be in big trouble, mister."

Jimin squealed and pecked his cheek. "Keep dreaming, Kookie.  I'm always going to be your weak spot."

Before he could take the pillows and blankets back to the couch in victory, strong arms pulled him back against a hard chest.  Lips pressed down his cheek and neck, landing sloppy and wet on his shoulder.  "You're right about that.  You're definitely my weak spot."

Blushing, Jimin hid his face in his armful of soft bedding.  "You're such a sap, Jungkookie."

"And you," Jungkook began as he released a pink-cheeked Jimin, "love every sappy minute of it.  Don't even try to deny it."

Jimin planted a soft, sweet kiss on Jungkook's smirking lips.  "I wouldn't dream of it.  Now hurry up.  I'm starving," he pouted as he waved a hand at the food.

"Coming right up," Jungkook replied, giving him a kiss of his own before patting his butt and sending him back to the living room.

It wasn't long before Jimin had turned the couch into a cozy mess of blankets and pillows and his favorite stuffed animals.  Yes, Jimin had stuffed animals.  As did Jungkook.  Some of their friends thought it was a little juvenile, but they didn't care.  They liked them and that was all that mattered.  Who were they trying to impress, after all?  When they were together, they could be their weirdest, dorkiest selves and no one could bring them down because they always had each other.

Jungkook brought out a piping hot pot from the kitchen and sat it on a cutting board on their coffee table.  The smell of hot beef broth filled the air and Jimin breathed it in with a sigh.

"Oh my god.  Galbitang?  Are you serious?  I love Galbitang!" Jimin exclaimed, already snatching his bowl to ladle in some soup.

"Not just Galbitang.  Just wait.  I'll be right back with the new recipe I tried."

Jungkook returned with a plate piled full of what Jimin thought was dumplings until he sat them down.  He bit his lip, tongue playing with his lip rings.

"Okay, you have to be honest when you try these.  If they're bad, I need to know so I can figure out what went wrong."

Jimin's eyes widened as he took in the delectable fried food.  "Kkaennip jeon?  You made me kkaennip jeon?"

Jungkook nodded, eyes worried and hands fidgeting.  "You said you liked them and you're the only person I ever plan to make perilla leaves for, soooo..."

His voice trailed off as he sat next to Jimin and began spooning some soup into his own bowl.  Jimin grinned, eyes shining with love as he picked up his chopsticks and popped one of the kkaennip jeons into his mouth.  He moaned in delight at the flavors.  The minty, basil-like taste enhanced the pork flavor and complimented the mushrooms.  Jimin was in heaven and quickly plowed through half the plate before forcing himself to stop to save Jungkook some.

"I'm guessing they're good then?" Jungkook asked with a proud smile and a chuckle.

"So good," Jimin moaned out through stuffed cheeks.  "Make these for me every day, Kookie.  Actually, on second thought, don't do that.  I'll gain so much weight."

Jungkook's smiled broadened and he taste tested one for himself.  "Mmmm!  These are pretty good!  I can't believe I actually made these!"

Jimin laughed.  "You're a really good cook, Jungkookie.  I don't know why you're always doubting yourself."

They snuggled together and turned on their show, Jungkook only groaning a few times as the opening song started playing.  It only served to make Jimin laugh and land playful punches on his chest.

"Hush!  It's a good show, Kookie," he asserted through his giggles.

"Yeah, yeah.  Just eat your soup, dork," Jungkook feigned annoyance, but he could only tease half-heartedly with his wide, fond smile beaming at his husband.

With the soup going cold and the show playing softly in the background, night deepened around the two lovers as they snuggled into each other against the chill in the air.  Without meaning to, they'd fallen asleep, and that's how they stayed.  Lost in dreams and anchored in each other's arms.
