Jungkook watched as his best friend stripped his clothing off, glancing around to make sure he was truly alone in the Hybe pool.  He watched as Park Jimin smiled his favorite sweet smile and removed the remainder of his clothing until he was just in his boxer briefs.  Jimin dipped a toe in the water, grimacing at the temperature before his face became determined and he dove right in.

When he came back up, wiping the water from his face and pushing his wet hair back, Jungkook's breath caught in his throat.  He'd been in love with his best friend for years, but was terrified to act on it.  Instead, he teased him.  He cuddled him at night.  He found himself drifting toward him as if Jimin had his own orbital gravity and Jungkook was merely a satellite caught in the pull.  And he watched him.  Oh, how he watched him.  Every moment his eyes could find Park Jimin's face, his beautiful body, his perfectly rounded... Jungkook straightened his shoulders and quietly cleared his throat.

Jimin obliviously continued to swim, each stroke of his arms gliding through the water ratcheting Jungkook's heart rate higher.  His face was flushed red, and he knew he shouldn't keep watching, but Jimin was mesmerizing.  He couldn't have looked away if he'd wanted to.

"I know you're there," Jimin said suddenly, stopping to tread water in the center of the pool.  "I can feel you watching me.  Why are you creeping around in the shadows instead of coming to say hi?  Did you want to swim, but I was here first so you felt bad?  You can join me if you'd like.  I don't bite, Jungkook," he giggled.

His cheeks turning a darker shade of red, Jungkook felt his blush creep down his neck and to his ears.  He stepped out from his hiding spot and grinned sheepishly at Jimin.

"I have the weirdest best friend," Jimin teased with a wide grin.

Jungkook nearly melted as his cheeks pushed his eyes into half moons.  "Sorry.  I didn't know if you wanted to be alone.  I just wanted to swim too," he lied, "but I didn't want to interrupt your time either."

Jimin only smiled.  "I don't mind.  Come on in, Kookie.  The water's freezing."

"Aren't you supposed to say the water's fine?" Jungkook joked, slowly becoming less awkward.  He began to strip his own clothes, and as he removed his shirt, he could've sworn he saw Jimin's grin waver and his eyes glaze over for a just a moment before he quickly recovered.  At least...he hoped he had.

"The water isn't fine, though," Jimin shook his head.  "I can't lie to you, Jungkookie.  It's freezing."

"I'd like to warm you up," Jungkook muttered under his breath as he unbuttoned his pants.

"Hmm?" Jimin hummed, curious as to what he'd said.

"Uh, nothing.  I didn't say anything," Jungkook swallowed down his panic.

Jungkook eased himself into the water, gasping as Jimin gripped his ankle and tugged him in.  The water was, in fact, freezing as Jimin had said.  It took his breath away and he shivered, goosebumps raising across every inch of his skin.

"Shit, Jimin.  It's so cold my nipples could cut glass!  How are you just chilling in this?" he complained, hugging his arms to his chest.

Laughing at his friend, Jimin positioned himself in front of him before wrapping his whole body around Jungkook's.  The poor boy was grateful Jimin had his face buried in his neck because he was certain the flush of his skin had less to do with how icy the water felt and more to do with his utter embarrassment over being held so intimately by his crush.

"You get used to it," Jimin insisted, referring to the water.

"I don't think I ever will," Jungkook quietly uttered back, very much not referring to the water.
