The Bodyguard

Jungkook leaned back into the squishy plushness of his manager's office armchair.  He still felt a little shaken up, but nodded distantly as his manager, Bang Si-hyuk explained that due to the recent incident, he had hired him a bodyguard.

The previous week had shown Jungkook that perhaps he had always been a bit too casual and carefree with his fans.  He'd always posted online where he was and what he was doing because he loved to feel that connection.  He loved that his fans felt almost like close friends instead of just fans.

But apparently some fans had taken that a little too close to heart.  Several people had now been following him.  Showing up where he was when he would make a post.  Waiting outside his apartment.  Sending him unsolicited and unwanted food.  Throwing themselves at him as he walked from place to place.  His team feared he'd one day be kidnapped...or worse.

So they'd done the only logical thing they could think of...they scoured the country for the most prestigious bodyguard in the business and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Now Jungkook was sitting there waiting for his new shadow to arrive.  He wondered what the man would look like.  An image of Kim Namjoon, a fellow musician, flashed through his mind and he prayed he looked even half as good as him.  He hoped that the man who would spend all his time with him would, at the very least, be beautiful eye candy.

He wasn't sure what he was expecting, exactly, but he was definitely for sure that Park Jimin wasn't it.  When he'd opened the door, a serious and fierce expression plastered on his face, Jungkook had been floored by two things.  One, that Park Jimin was undoubtedly the most beautiful man he'd ever seen in his life.  And two, that Park Jimin was the smallest bodyguard he'd ever seen in his life.

"You have to be joking.  I'm bigger than he is!  How is he supposed to protect me when I'm bigger than he is?"

Jimin scoffed and rolled his eyes.  "Haven't you ever heard that big things come in small packages?"

It was Jungkook's turn to roll his eyes as he whipped his head to stare at his manager.  "You can't be serious.  What is he going to do against these stalkers?"

Seeming to take that personally, Park Jimin removed his shirt to reveal cut arms and defined abs.  Jungkook hated to admit that his nude upper body had taken his breath away just for a moment.  He waved Jungkook over to him.

"I have a black belt in Taekwondo.  I've trained in martial arts for years.  I've trained armies all over the world in self-defense.  If you can take me down, I will forfeit the job.  If you can't, you shut the fuck up and let me do what I'm getting paid an excessive amount to do, pretty boy."

Jungkook loathed how his heart flipped in his chest at being called pretty boy and the authoritative tone Jimin had taken with him.  Nevertheless, he gritted his teeth and nodded.  Jimin wasn't the only one who'd trained in Taekwondo.  Jungkook was certain he could best someone nearly half his size.

Jimin let Jungkook make the first move, then took him down with ease, without so much as even a gasp for air.  Jungkook was pinned to the floor and looked up in awe into Jimin's smirking face.  He leaned down until his face was just a hair too close to Jungkook's for comfort and whispered, "Get used to taking orders, pretty boy.  You're looking at your new bodyguard."
