Jimin could not believe it. He stared into his whisky glass, tears dripping down his cheeks. His five year relationship had just ended. It was all over and he couldn't let himself begin to process it. It wasn't the first time they'd broken up. It had happened a few times over the years for various reasons. The company's pressure to hide their relationship. The jealousy. The fans. The shipping them with other people. The difficulties of the band and the industry.
This was different though. This was for real. This was about them. About him. Jimin guessed he really was the one to blame.
Who even am I without Jungkook?
Jimin wasn't sure what to do. He felt the overwhelming need to find himself all of a sudden. The need to sort out who he really was under all the masculine and feminine, the fame and fortune. Who was Park Jimin?
A hand clapped his shoulder as a figure sat beside him at his kitchen counter. He poured a drink and clinked his glass against Jimin's.
"Are you alright, Jimin-ah?"
Jimin scoffed. "Am I alright? Am I alright."
He shifted on his stool, downing his whisky before answering. "No, Taehyung. I'm not alright. I just lost the love of my life. For good this time. I just...I don't wanna be sober, Tae. Can we just drink?"
Taehyung nodded beside him. "Yeah. Sure. We can drink. I think you need to be alone and write this all out. Maybe make a song. I don't want to leave you though. I'm worried about you."
Jimin's heart clenched and his throat closed up. He fought back the tears he'd been using anger to cover all night. "I'm not the one you need to check on. Go see if he's okay."
He finally turned to look Taehyung in the eyes. His worry and hurt and anger and desperation all shining through in his drunken state. He gripped Taehyung's arm tightly. "Can you...will you tell me if he's okay? I just want to make sure he isn't hurt. That's all. Nothing else. Okay?"
Taehyung hesitated a moment, but sighed and nodded to his best friend. "I'll tell you if he's okay and that's it. You two started this and it's between you two. I'm not getting involved in this like that one time. Jungkook barely talked to me for a year after that."
Jimin nodded and released Taehyung before turning back to the bottle on his counter. He picked it up to pour another drink before stopping mid pour to look at it, consider something, and apparently decide to drink straight from the bottle from there on out.
"I'm stopping by later after I've checked on him to make sure you're okay," Taehyung slapped a notepad and a handful of pens on the counter. "Write about it. Get it out of your system. You think this thing between you two is over for good, but I know it's not. You two are bound for life. I just know it."
With that, Taehyung left and Jimin's tears dripped onto the empty pad of paper. Taking another swig from his bottle, he picked up a pen and started to write.

A/N: As I've been listening to each song on Jimin's album, I've noticed something kind of sad. It's Namjoon's album. It's heartbreak and sadness, but Jimin's has a happy ending. It has a collaboration when he said this album was about himself and that's why he didn't collaborate.
This may be me over-analyzing, but I can't help but think maybe Jikook had the BIG fight at some point, broke up, then slowly realized the other one is the one. So with that in mind...this three part series was born. Don't worry. I'm writing them all RIGHT NOW. So you won't have to wait, Lovely Armies!
