Jungkook watched Jimin fall down onto his bed, neglecting to move his mosquito netting first.
"No!" Jungkook screeched, gasping out a laugh he couldn't shut down to even pretend to be serious. Jimin only giggled back and it made him giggle too.
They were drunk and he'd completely forgotten about the camera BigHit had set up in his room to film "In the Soop." So when he laid down on top of Jimin who had abandoned the soccer ball he'd brought into his room, it was the last thing on his radar. When he kissed Jimin greedily, pulling off his clothes, that camera never crossed his mind. As Jimin fell hard to his knees, hissing and giggling about having a bruise in the morning, the idea that there was tangible filmed evidence of what his boyfriend was doing to him never entered his hazy thoughts. As he roughly thrust himself into Jimin, the pair of them croaking and moaning, the possibility that someone would see this very private moment was never even considered.
But it was seen. By BigHit editors almost immediately, no less.
So when they later stumbled out of Jungkook's room, Jungkook shouting about his broken mosquito netting they'd had sex on, neither thought anything about what the morning would bring. When Jimin fell, laughing and joking about more bruises, Jungkook's concern wasn't about cameras, but simply making sure that his boyfriend was okay.
"Do you two understand how serious this could have been? You have to be more careful," the editors insisted.
They'd pulled both of them aside to film a half concocted story as to why Jimin was limping with bruises the next morning. Jimin was almost too proud of himself to take it very serious, though, and laughed off how he'd fallen, leaving out some of the more...salacious details.
When the boys sat them down to discuss how it might be unhealthy to be together so much, Jungkook felt that familiar prickle of irritation of having to hide, but listened to his older members with an open mind. All the while, he was reminiscing about his night with Jimin.
"Jungkook, Jimin, its not good to spend too much time together," Namjoon carefully chose his words, highly aware that cameras were everywhere, and as much as he'd been wanting to have this conversation with the couple, he hadn't planned on it being filmed. However, BigHit had had other ideas. "You shouldn't treat one of your friends as closer to you than your own brothers."
Namjoon could clearly see that, while Jimin was taking in what he was saying with what he worried was immense shame, Jungkook was almost even more defiant. He knew Jungkook would never want to disappoint him or go against him because of his admiration for him, but he also knew that Jungkook was stubborn and rebellious at his best. At his worst, he was outright combative and confrontational, especially when it came to Jimin. He wasn't sure when the roles had switched from Jungkook being Jimin's baby that he always took care of, to Jimin being Jungkook's baby and him becoming fiercely protective of him. All he knew is that that very protectiveness is what would get him in trouble one day.
The other agreed with Namjoon, much to his relief. They nodded and chimed in:
"It's not healthy."
"You can't neglect your other friends for one friend."
"You have to know who you are outside your friendship."
All the words were careful. Far more careful than the two of them had been the night before. Namjoon had watched Jimin limp. He'd seen enough of the clip that had worried the editors to know that his maknaes would have been in real trouble if it hadn't been for the editors' diligence. He simply worried about two of his youngest members. He'd been in their position once, losing himself so deeply in his girlfriend that he didn't know who he was anymore. He didn't want that to happen to them. He wanted them to find a way to be themselves with or without each other.
The two boys had taken it all in, nodding and agreeing to work on boundaries and spending more time with others. Naturally, Jimin having taken it more seriously, attempted to do just that. He'd even spent time with Taehyung instead, where he discovered that Tae had been feeling left out by the two of them and tricked Jungkook into having a serious conversation with him about it. Jungkook and Taehyung had parted ways that night after having drank and talked like close friends for the first time in a few years.
At the end of the night, however, Jungkook snuggled into Jimin's neck vowing he would try to work on boundaries as everyone wished, but that he still needed plenty of Jimin time. Jimin, flushed with the knowledge of being so loved, had only nodded and kissed Jungkook's temple before falling asleep tangled in each other's arms.
When the boys found them the next morning, they couldn't even be mad that the couple had ignored their advice to spend the remainder of the "In the Soop" nights alone, and had instead cuddled together all night. The peaceful looks on their faces reminded the rest of their friends how deeply they loved each other. It was hard to be mad when they were also thrilled that they had found love in each other.
So they let Jimin and Jungkook sleep. And BigHit editors did their best to hide the most incriminating parts, but even they couldn't keep themselves from supporting the love they shared.

A/N: This is one of my shortest stories and it has taken me weeks to finish. Adult responsibilities are the absolute worst. :'(
See you in the next one, Lovely Army's! Hopefully it comes sooner than the last!
