Jimin was magic.

No...really.  He was actually magic.  As much as he didn't want to show it, he had a special power that he knew made him a bit different from the other men around him.

Jimin had the power of seduction.

Don't think it's a real power?  Try to resist him and you'll see.  You see...Jimin was a siren, a demon of sorts.  He wasn't born that way, but then no siren ever is.  He was made that way by the man who'd scorned him.  He'd been the punchline to a joke he didn't find all that funny.

When Ha Sung-woon had made the bet with his friends, he hadn't considered the true consequences of his actions.  Once he'd successfully seduced Jimin, taken his virtue (apparently with an audience that Jimin later found out about), humiliated him in front of the entire University they both attended when he publicly dumped him, he left him the laughing stock of everyone he'd ever known.  Sung-woon had not only exposed his body and exposed his shame, but also his sexuality all against his will.

Needless to say, this was devastating to poor Jimin, who vowed to never love another man again and to ensure that all men got what was coming to them.  After he'd growled out those very words, tears dripping from his flushed cheeks, he'd been offered a deal.  The same deal every siren makes.

Be the vengeance.

Give them what they deserve.

Show them how badly seduction can hurt.

Ruin them.  Ruin them all.

He'd accepted with bitterness in his heart and malice in his brain.  He would make them all pay and he would start with Ha Sung-woon.

Jimin got his vengeance.  He got it in the bloodiest, most painful, humiliating way he could invent and when the demon came to collect the soul Jimin had agreed to give him...even he was taken aback and horrified with what Jimin had done to the boy who had been his first love.

Oh yes, Jimin was an excellent siren.  He had his standards, though.  No one would ever lay another finger on him again.  He would seduce men and tear them apart piece by piece, but he would never let another man touch him again.  In that, he was absolute.  He had made love one time and never again would his virtue be given away to anyone after his gift had been treated as if it were cheap.

At 184, Jimin still looked 25, and he used this greatly to his advantage.  He attended every University from India to China to Japan to America, across all the European countries, and even down to Brazil and Africa.  It was on the eve of his 185th birthday he decided enough time had passed that he could come back home.

He re-enrolled in Seoul University as if he were his own great grandson and started classes once more.  It was his first day when he ran into someone he couldn't seem to control as easily.  Couldn't corrupt effortlessly.

"Who is that guy and why can't I draw him to me?" Jimin asked of his friend, Kim Taehyung.

Taehyung had been a vampire since he'd been turned 307 years prior after being in a farming accident in Daegu.  His sire, a one Min Yoongi, had let his charge roam free the last hundred years or so.  Taehyung and Jimin had met when they'd both targeted the same man and had the most sibling-esque fight over who would kill him, down to the slapping hands and pulling hair.

"I got here the same day you did, Jimin.  How am I supposed to know?" Taehyung rolled his eyes as he straightened his Gucci jacket.  When he'd met Guccio Gucci in 1921, Taehyung had been his muse to start the brand that had now become so popular worldwide, giving the vampire a certain fondness for the renowned clothing line.

Jimin slapped his friend on the back of the head.  "It was rhetorical, asshole!  My magic...it just...didn't work with him and I don't know why."

"He's kinda hot.  Maybe I should see if vampire magic is more his speed," Taehyung suggested flirtatiously.  Taehyung had been very straight in his human life, but hundreds of years of life lead to explorations he wouldn't have had otherwise and discoveries he wouldn't have made without them.  Now, Taehyung no longer cared if his victims were male, female, or other.

Something in Jimin couldn't allow Taehyung to try his luck on this one, though.  He shook his head with a scowl.  "No.  It's a point of pride now.  This one is mine and mine alone."

The irksome man who had hurt Jimin's pride walked away from their shared vocal music class completely unfazed by Jimin's blatant attempt to use his angelic voice to lure in his prey.  The dark haired man had simply tightened his ponytail and smiled a bunny grin as he easily looked away from Jimin's intense stare.

Now that tall, muscled man had the audacity to walk away as if Jimin hadn't thrown every trick he'd developed over nearly two hundred years at him.

Taehyung chuckled at his side, watching his demon friend flush with anger and embarrassment as the dark haired angel of a man went on with his day without a care in the world.  "Maybe you're losing your touch, old man."

Jimin huffed and punched his shoulder, eyes never leaving the mysterious classmate who could actually resist him as he replied, "You're a century and a few decades older than me, oh ancient one.  And I'm not losing my touch.  He's just...different for some reason.  Something's off about him."

"Maybe you have a crush on him," Taehyung retorted teasingly, rubbing his shoulder, completely unaware he'd just stepped over his friend's untold line.

Jimin whipped his head to Taehyung, literal fire blazing in his irises.  "I could never and will never have another crush for as long as the fires of hell burn inside my body.  Do you understand me, Kim Taehyung?!"

Taking in a deep, shaky breath, Taehyung nodded, but said not another word.

What gave Taehyung even more cause for concern was that Jimin almost immediately went back to his natural state as if he hadn't just nearly unleashed his inner demon on his friend.  "Now...like I said, something's off about him...and I damned well intend to find out what."
