Trophy

"I'm not a trophy wife or something, Jungkook!  Or am I supposed to call you Mr. Jeon like your employees do?"

Jungkook sighed deeply, struggling to contain his frustration with his husband.  "Jimin, no one is asking you to be my trophy wife.  Husband.  Trophy husband.  For god's sake, you have your own company!  You're the CEO of a whole dance company that trains idols!  You make more money than my music production company does in a year in just six months!  It's not about being a trophy."

Jimin huffed and crossed his arms, flopping unceremoniously onto the stiff, leather couch in Jungkook's office.  "Then what is it about, Jungkook?  I'm supposed to just keep my mouth shut and be pretty, right?  That's basically what you said."

Unsure what to say to make Jimin understand, Jungkook chose to remain silent, sitting next to him and tugging his soft, small hand free instead.

"It's my birthday, Jungkookie," Jimin pleaded.  "I don't want to spend it at some stupid gala for your stupid job being a pretty arm accessory.  I want to spend it with my sexy husband eating an absurdly expensive dinner and taking an edible gold flaked chocolate something home to eat off each other.  Is that too much to ask?"

Jungkook felt arousal begin to stir in his stomach.  "Not at all, baby.  I want that too, but can't we just make a quick appearance at this gala first?  I really have to attend, even if it's for just thirty minutes.  Then I promise I'll buy an entire restaurant to have that dinner with you if I have to.  Okay?"

Jimin pouted and desperately tried to hide his blossoming smile as Jungkook nipped at his ear and his jaw and his neck.  His hand slid from Jimin's neck just behind the ear where he'd hooked his thumb and traced a path inside his silky white blouse, down the deep "v" collar until his middle finger grazed across his nipple.  He did it again with a bit more force behind it when he heard Jimin gasp softly.

"Believe me," Jungkook began, "I will be taking care of my baby boy on his birthday.  This gala.  It's not something I want to do at all.  Honestly, if I had my way, we'd even skip dinner.  I'd spend twenty four straight hours worshiping this surreal beauty of yours if I could."

"Mmm.  I don't think I'd mind that," Jimin breathlessly whispered back, head falling back as Jungkook sucked his way across Jimin's adam's apple.

A knock came at the door before it creaked open slowly, causing both men to jump and wrap their arms around each other.  Cautiously making their way in, a well-dressed man about Jimin's height followed a tall, broad shouldered man to stand before the couple.

"Jin, what did I tell you about barging into my office without waiting for a reply?" Jungkook warned in a dangerous tone that had Jimin's stomach swooping.

"And what did I tell you about not listening to you for you own good, you disrespectful child?" Jin quipped back.

"Yoongi, why are you here?" Jimin frowned.  His assistant had been eyeing him with sad eyes and down-turned lips, quickly dropping his head the moment Jimin's gaze had met his.

"It's time for you to go, sir," Yoongi replied back in a deep, quiet voice.  "The gala begins soon and you were scheduled to go with Mr. Jeon," he continued to himself under his breath, "even if it is your birthday and your husband of all people should care about that more."

Jungkook didn't miss it the way Jimin always did and his nostrils flared, eyes narrowing as he opened his mouth to say something.  Jin cut him off with a hasty, "That's exactly right.  Time to go."

Jimin pouted and looked at Jungkook with big eyes.  "Fine.  I'll go and make this appearance with you.  Maybe we'll have time after for dinner?"

The disappointment in his voice wasn't missed by Jungkook and he glanced to Jin who simply gave him a nod of approval.  The two assistants shuffled the married couple to their limo, climbing in behind them to sit on the opposite side of the car.  Without a care in the world, the two lovers pawed at each other, sharing heated kisses until the limo came to an abrupt stop.

"Are we there already?" Jimin asked, surprised.

"Felt like an eternity to me," Yoongi mumbled under his breath, earning a light smack on his thigh from Jin.

"We sure are, baby.  There's just one thing.  I want to blindfold you," Jungkook said with a smirk, holding up a black, silk tie that had moments ago been hanging around his throat.

Jimin grinned and quirked his eyebrow mischievously.  "Kinky.  Alright.  Blindfold me, Kookie."

Jungkook guided him out of the car, smirking in victory as Yoongi's jaw dropped upon seeing their location.  He led Jimin into the elevator with the help of their assistants.  He wrapped his arms around Jimin's waist, resting his chin on his shoulder as he walked him to their final destination.

"Ready?" Jungkook asked excitedly, untying the blindfold.

Jimin nodded, blinking and rubbing at his eyes as they adjusted to the dim light.  He gasped, fingers grazing his lips as he took in, not a fancy gala, but an unrivaled 360 degree view of Seoul.  He recognized it as the top observation deck of Namsan Tower in the heart of Seoul.  They were the only ones in the whole deck, and it had been decorated with at least a hundred candles and dozens of flower bouquets of all his favorite flowers.  In the center, close enough to see the view, but far enough away to not feel as though they were as high up as they were, was a beautifully set table for two.

"I know you're afraid of heights, but I also know you love it up here.  So I figured it would be okay as long as we were far enough away from the windows," Jungkook breathed against his neck.

"But...but...howWhen?  The...the gala?" Jimin stuttered, still shocked at the unexpected turn of events.

"Did you really think I was going to go to that stupid gala when it was my baby boy's birthday?  I told Hoseok that there was no chance in hell that I was missing your birthday for some dumb work event.  I can charm clients some other time.  Tonight is all about you," Jungkook replied as he watched Yoongi roll his eyes in disgust.

"Kookie!" Jimin said, turning in Jungkook's arms to wrap his own around his neck.  "I don't even know what to say.  You planned all this?  You did all this?  Just for me?  Just for my birthday?"

"Of course I did!  I can't believe you really thought I wasn't going to celebrate the day the most important person in my life came into this world," Jungkook scoffed in faux offense.

Jimin giggled and Jungkook clutched at his heart, making Jimin giggle harder.  "I love you, Kookie.  Thank you.  This is perfect."

"No," Jungkook shook his head, face serious.  He waved a hand up and down Jimin.  "This is perfect.  Happy birthday, my baby."

As they kissed, even Yoongi had to admit that it was a pretty perfect moment.

A/N: I meant to post this one on Jimin's birthday, but I wound up having to work so you're getting it a bit late.  Sorry for that!  I have several more stories in mind and I can't wait to get them out to you guys!

I also really love oblivious Jimin because it seems pretty accurate to real Jimin.  I don't think he'd notice if someone was wildly in love with him.  He'd flirt with them thinking that they actually didn't like him at all LOL.  Anyway, I thought this one was pretty cute and fluffy and perfect for Jimin's birthday.

And even though I've said it on Weverse, and it's a little late on here, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMIN!!!  :) <3

See you in the next one Lovely Army's!!
