Summary: Anakin hadn't thought he would witness a day where he saw the Jedi fall one after the other under the shoot blasters of the Clones. And everything was because of the man he loved, Obi-Wan. Everything was because of Anakin. All because they didn't reach Obi-Wan on time. Because, they didn't chose him, because he had to fight a war, because he couldn't grab him to Naboo and live that happily forever after live he dreamed about...

Anakin felt the wound on his stomach bleed profusely. A lightsaber wound was extremely serious and, if he had any plan to survive, he needed to take care of it as soon as possible. But it was his heart that hurt the most. He couldn't believe what he was seeing and feeling in the Force.

"Obi-Wan..."

He called the man's name. The name of the most important person in the galaxy for him, and two steel eyes glanced at him.

"Don't move, love, or your condition will get worse."

"Why?"

He needed to know, he needed to know how was possible that the most caring person he had ever known, the one who was capable of cradling him with so much tenderness, was destroying his entire universe.

"Hatred, Anakin." There it was again, that heartless smile. If he could have moved, Anakin would have wiped out that smile with one punch. "I hate the Jedi Order with all my soul. Especially your Master, Qui-Gon Jinn. I wanted to make him suffer as much as I could."

Anakin could hardly breathe. Between the life of his fellow Jedi was being extinct in the galaxy because of the Clones, his wound, and Obi-Wan's confession, he was almost wishing to be dead.

"So, that's why you came close to me? To hurt my Master?"

Obi-Wan seemed to have some fond memories. Then, his face became steel again, and took out a blaster. He shot at two Jedi that were trying to attack him. His shots were so precise and good that they didn't have time to avoid him. They died instantaneously.

"Commander Cody." A Clone with a scar on his left side and yellow armour came. "Make a secure perimeter around us. I'm having a pleasant conversation with Knight Skywalker. I don't want to be disturbed."

"Yes, sir!"

The man gave the proper orders, and the Clones formed a circle around them.

"Where were we? Oh, yes! Did I approach you to hurt Jinn? Of course, Anakin. I thought the moment I stated that I hated the Jedi you would arrive to that conclusion yourself."

A knife stabbed his heart powerfully. He had loved that man! He had been ready to do the craziest thing for and with him! And now he was saying everything had been a lie?!

"Monster."

A pained gaze appeared in Obi-Wan's eyes. How dare he?

"I am what the Jedi made me, love." That endearment that had made Anakin shiver. Now it made him sick. "They took me away from my family, promising them they would make a Jedi of me. They lied. I was never chosen as a Padawan. Even Master Yoda, with all his schemes, couldn't achieve it. Jinn looked at me and said the same as every other master: too impulsive, too much anger, too old. And I was sent to the AgriCorps. But I escaped and lived a life as a bounty hunter. At thirteen is not an easy life, dear one."

He paused the tale of his life to attend some reports. Anakin was trying to heal his stomach, but he didn't know what he would do if he could get on his feet, he had lost his lightsaber fighting Obi-Wan the first time. He needed a plan; he needed him to continue talking.
