• Summary: Anakin Skywalker knew his Ziss'uzass, his Pullapart, before he even knew himself. He was his first memory, his only good constant in a world of slavery and pain. He could not wait until the day he came and freed him from his chains.
Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't even certain he had a Soul Twin until he was sixteen. When he finally received his first Sight, he knew he'd do anything to keep his other half safe. Even if it meant defying the Council.

Anakin Skywalker’s first memory isn’t really his memory at all. Nor does he remember images or specific events. What he remembers is suddenly being so, so very angry. Angry, hurt and betrayed. He remembered feeling like his entire life was worthless. That he was worthless and unwanted. He remembered thinking he deserved the mines, even though he had no idea what that meant.
He didn’t remember crying uncontrollably. He didn’t remember Gardulla telling his mom to shut him up or she’d eat him. The only other thing he remembered about that day was his mom urgently quieting him, her voice whispering in his ear.
“Shh, Ani. Shh, baby. It wasn’t you. It's your Ziss’uzass. It's a Fsuhnzre’a. Its okay.”
That moment stuck with him. He thought about it often. He was saddened everytime he did, because his Ziss’uzass was so sad. He barely remembered being owned by Gardulla, but he remembered that instance like it had only just happened.
When a year had gone by and Gardulla lost them to Watto, he didn’t remember that either. He did remember another Fsuhnzre’a, though. This one was as devastating as the last.
Their new Master has just brought them into his shop when Anakin was gasping and dropping to the floor. Sadness like he had never known before exploded through him. He felt like he was losing everything he had ever loved. Like his life was torn from him and now his love was too. He felt desperate for comfort in a way that was foreign, because somehow he knew he would never receive it.
He only snapped out of it because a sharp kick collided with his ribs. Instead of the disconnected emotional pain, his chest was suddenly filled with a real, throbbing physical one. It was a severe enough pain that it had him crying out and curling in on himself.
“Whatsa matter with ya, boy? You defective?”
“No!” his mom cried. “No, Master, I promise. It's a Glimpse is all. I swear it!”
“Eh, it better be. He has work to do.”
“It is, Master. I swear it is.”
The Toydarian made a scoffing noise, jerked Anakin to his feet by his arm and then fluttered away. The second their Master was gone, his mom pulled him to her side gently and ran light fingers through his hair before cupping his cheek.
“Are you okay, Ani?”
“Why do Fsuhnzre’a always hurt?” he whispered into her leg.
“Your Ziss’uzass is just hurting right now. Fsuhnzre’a happen when something big, something life changing happens to them. Right now, they’re just experiencing some bad things.”
“He’s so sad rasee’ei.” he looked up at her face with wide, wet eyes. “I don’t want him to be sad. Can I do anything to make him not sad?” He sniffled and added, “I want him to be okay.”
“Oh, suhssse keen’ahs.” she bent down and kissed his forehead. “You have such a good heart. I wish there was something we could do, baby, and I hope that he’ll be okay. Right now though, all you can do is ask Rase’hues to keep him safe.”
