• Summary: Anakin and Padme have been at their wits' end with each other. Padme is completely sure that Anakin fell out of love with her a long time ago, and he was with her just to save face with the Republic. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan is trying his damndest to make sure his feelings toward Anakin stay strictly platonic.
Featuring the endless meddling of Ahsoka, Rex, and Cody. (It's not really their fault that their superior officers can never seem to get their shit together.)

"I don't know what to do, Cody. He won't want to be around me anymore if I tell him how I feel. So, I think it's best if I try to keep whatever's left of our friendship from falling apart." Cody was so sick of hearing his General complaining about being in love with Anakin and doing nothing about it that he had nowhere to go except Anakin's closest friends: Commander Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex.

"Alright, what's Obi-Wan upset about now?"
"He won't stop complaining about being in love with General Skywalker, but he won't do anything about it. Hell, he won't even tell Padme, even though she's one of his best friends." Ahsoka chuckled at Cody's remark.
"Well, Senator Amidala is Anakin's girlfriend, so I completely understand Obi-Wan's motives behind not telling Padme." Rex was about to add to what Ahsoka said when the latter's comm beeped.
"What is it now, Master?"
"Obi-Wan and I just got a mission. We're headed to Moraband."
"The Sith homeworld?"
"That's the one, Snips. Meet me with Rex and Cody. I can hear them talking behind you."
"Alright, I'll meet you in the Council Chambers, right?"
"Yep. I'll see you there. Obi-Wan's already here. So you three are the only ones missing." Ahsoka looked over at the two clones, who nodded in understanding and grabbed their helmets. Once Ahsoka was finished talking to Anakin, she put her sabers back on her belt, then led the two clones to the Council Chambers.

"Padawan Tano, Commander Cody, Captain Rex. It's nice to see you three."
Cody and Rex both felt awkward being the only clones that had ever been allowed into the Council Chambers. However, Rex was the only one to speak up about it.
"With all due respect, General Windu, why are we here? I thought only Jedi were allowed up here."
"We brought you here because this mission is especially dangerous. We're sending you and your platoons with your Jedi commanding officers to the Sith homeworld, Moraband. Or, as Master Yoda calls it, Korriban. I can see you being hesitant, Commander Cody. Is there something you'd like to add?"
"Yes, sir. Is there a reason that clones are needed as well as the Jedi? Because you should know I don't view my troopers as being expendable. I view them as people and have as much respect for them as I do for every Jedi I have ever served under."
"I understand your fears for your brothers. I feel I should make you aware that Master Kenobi, Master Skywalker, and Padawan Tano have already expressed their affection for you two and your troopers. This is why we are sending three Jedi and two platoons. This is not a decision any of us have made lightly. Once we gained the approval of your Generals, we devised this mission."
