My eyes flutter open. My head feeling a little foggy. I blink a couple times before turning my head to find Andy sitting in the chair asleep. I move slightly, staying quiet. I didn't want to wake her.
I look around the room. I was in a hospital room. Deja vu hits me quickly. But it's not really deja vu. It just feels like I've been here before. Like this is how it all started.
My eyes close and I hear the door open. Quickly I open my eyes and see a doctor walk in, closing the door behind them. I move and glance over at Andy still seeing her asleep before looking back at the doctor.
"It's okay. I just need to check your vitals then I'll leave," they say easily. Her hair was blonde. She had a kind face as she walks over gently and looks at the chart. I stay quiet, I don't move. "Can I check your stomach?"
I meet her eyes and nod slowly. She gives me a smile and moves the blanket off of me then lifts the hospital gown. I look down seeing a fresh bandage. No blood.
"It's going to hurt a little bit. I just have to change this," she says quietly and I nod. Her hands gently remove the bandage. I flinch here and there, glancing over at Andy every now and then making sure she stays asleep. "Everything looks clean. I'm Helm by the way."
"Y/n," I gently whisper and look at the woman. "Before you leave will you... Place a blanket over her? I don't want her to be cold."
Helm lightly smiles placing on a new bandage. I look and see her nodding. "I can certainly do that." She pulls down the hospital gown and then pulls the blanket I hand on back up. "If you need anything, just page me."
"Thank you," I whisper and she nods with a smile. She turns, heading away from the bed but goes to a closet. She opens it up quietly and pulls out a throw blanket. She opens it up and backs up before quietly making her way over to Andy. My eyes follow her the whole time watching her gingerly drape the blanket around Andy. Helm slowly backs up and glances to me once she's at the door. I lightly smile and mouth "thank you" before she leaves the room, pulling the door shut with her.
The room goes back in silence and I let a small sigh escape my lips laying down. My eyes linger over to Andy who's still asleep as a small smile trails my lips. She came.

Helm leaves the room and pulls the door shut behind her. A smile spreads her lips as she walks out and over to the nurses station where Carina, Amelia, Bailey and Warren all stand.
"Is she okay?" Warren asks, feeling guilty for not realizing the young girl was in pain or even left the fire station till Bailey called him.
"Yeah. Everything looks good," Helm says, with a smile. Amelia leans against the counter looking at Helm.
"Why are you so smiley?" Amelia questions and Helm turns to her superiors looking at all of them.
