"Alright what do we got?" Dr. Miranda Bailey speaks as the ambulance pulls up."Unconscious, sixteen year old female. Smells of alcohol and looks like something hit her head in the front but possibly hit her head when she fell as well," the medic spoke as they get out of the ambulance. The stretcher is pulled out. Bailey watching until her eyes are met with an unconscious Y/n Peterson. Her head looks swollen. Blood seeping down from the white cloth the EMT's had applied wrapped around her fragile little head. Bailey's eyes go wide and they're heading into the hospital.
"Has she been conscious at all?" Bailey asks as they head into the hospital. Dr. Owen Hunt stands by looking at the victim before he points to trauma room 2. Bailey and the EMT's head in.
"She has not been conscious. A guy was on a jog and saw her and called it in. She was unconscious even before we got there," the medic says as they lift Y/n off of the stretcher and onto the bed. Nurses pile into the room. People coming and going go. The stretcher is pushed out with the EMT as Bailey gets up to Y/n's head shaking her head looking around in the room.
"Dr. Schmidt, page Dr. Shepherd and Dr. Deluca," Bailey demands, looking at the girl and tilting her head in sadness. "God, what happened kid?"
Bailey looks over the girl's head and reaches forward, tilting her head to see the bandage wrapped fully around her head.
"I'm here. What did I- Oh my god," Amelia Shepherd says. Her smile immediately drops when her eyes meet with Bailey's concerned ones and she sees who's unconscious. "What the hell happened?"
Bailey shakes her head. "I have no idea."
Amelia walks over and her eyes go wide at the blood seeping through the bandages. Amelia reaches into her pocket and pulls out her little flashlight. She leans forward and gently raises Y/n's left eyelid, shining the light over her eye. Then she pulls it away and then shines it back. She lets go of the girl's eye lid lifting up the other one, shining the light on that. She pulls it away then puts it back on.
After she slowly pulls her hand away, placing the flashlight into her pocket. "Her pupils are responsive. Doesn't look like nothings been blown. I'm going to need a head CT and look at the actual damages to see what has been severly impacted ."
The doors slide open and in comes Dr. Carina Deluca. Both Bailey and Amelia turn their head to lock eyes with Carina's brown ones. A soft gaze spreads over the doctor as she looks past them to Y/n.
"Was she attacked?" Carina's voice is low as she stays frozen at the door.
"We don't know," Bailey answers.
"Oh..." Carina's voice trails.
"Schmidt, let CT know we're coming and that it's urgent," Amelia says turning to the resident. He nods and hurries out of the room practically running. Amelia focuses on the girl and begins taking off the bandages. Amelia's eyes take in every thing she can see as she tilts her head. She takes the girl's chin and tilts her head, getting a look at the side of the girl's head, almost the back where the other damage was. "This looks like when she fell."
"But how'd the one her forehead appear? She had to have been attacked," Bailey says pointing, looking as blood was surrounding a dark red and purple cut on the girl's front forehead towards the top of her head.
"Self inflicted maybe?" Amelia says low. Bailey tears her eyes from the kid and to Amelia. Amelia slowly looks up and then glances to Carina who's still standing at the door.
"I'm going to try and get a hold of Andrea," Carina says gently, turning fast and exiting the room. Amelia sadly looks down then at Bailey.
"We should clean some of this then get her to CT," Shepherd whispers. Bailey nods and the two place gloves on, grabbing swabs and wipes to help clear some of the blood and sanitize the wounds.
