Narrator POV
"What do we got?" Chief Miranda Bailey asks as Warren opens the back of the ambulance.
"15 year old female. Head trauma, possible fractures and cracked ribs. Immense amount of bruising on her arms and I didn't get to fully examine her before she freaked out," Warren explains to the chief who also happened to be his wife. Bailey nods as Andy and Warren get the stretcher out. All of them hurrying into the hospital.
Inside nurses and doctors run around. Doctor Owen Hunt, head of trauma, sees the team coming in and looks down at his iPad.
"Trauma room 2!" He shouts. The doctors and firefighters go to trauma room 2 along with Dr. Hunt. They get in and place the stretcher right next to the bed. "Count of three. 1...2...3 lift!"
They lift the girl up and move her over onto the bed. Andy and Warren take the stretcher and head out of the the trauma room. But not before Andy stops and turns back to the room, looking inside to the girl laying unconscious.
"Andy, we got to go," Warren says, glancing over his shoulder finding Herrera standing there. Andy doesn't respond. Her brown eyes too focused on the doctors and there assessments.
"Someone page Dr. Shepherd!" Owen shouts. "And peds!"
"Andy-" Ben steps towards his teammate and places a hand on her shoulder. She shakes her head watching Hunt examine the girl's ribs and Chief Bailey examine the bruising not only on the girl's arms but also now her legs.
"I have to stay," Andy gently says, her voice coming out as a whisper.
"Andy we-"
"You go. I'm not going anywhere. Not till I know she's okay," Andy says cutting off Warren. She finally turns her head, locking eyes with the older man. "Besides I have to give the police my statement. Just go."
"You sure?"
Andy nods, giving Warren a small reassuring smile. Ben nods and pats Andy shoulder before taking the stretcher and heading out of the hospital. Andy turns her head back crossing her arms over her shoulder feeling a hand on her back.
"Herrera?" Carina says. Andy turns her head towards Carina. "Wh-What are you doing here?"
"Deluca, we got paged," Amelia Shepherd says passing. "Hi Andy." The doctor heads into the trauma room and Andy follows her with her eyes seeing the young girl still passed out.
"Carina, can you make sure I'm updated on this girl?" Andy questions her voice somewhat low.
"Yeah of course, of course," Carina Deluca responds, squeezing Andy's arm hurrying into the room. Andy nods and stays standing there. Her brown eyes watching and observing. Her body rushing with nerves and her stomach twisting before hearing sirens. She looks to find another ambulance had pulled up. Cops come inside along with Travis Montgomery and Jack with the man from the house fire. Andy's jaw clenches but settles seeing CPR being done on the man.
