Part 21 : "welcome to eternity , princess"

We had been flying with who ever these robot guys for a long time but all of a sudden they decided to land. " so why exactly are we landing ?" I asked while i stretched since i had a feeling we still have to do some walking.

Titanium " well we cant fly forever and its standard procedure for us , while we continue you can ask all the questions you would like" we all started walking , mara was in the back still cuffed and trying to keep her face hidden from the eternal.

Eoin was right next to her to keep her from doing anything like escaping , me and stella walked next to each other while Osmium and titanium were walking next to each other only about a few feet away.

" well first off... what exactly are you ?" I looked at his and Osmiums body parts and from the looks of it only patch's of their skin were not machine like and even then i could see wires and other glowing bits in their skin.... It looks like the tech used on ciaras robot arm mara made for her.

Titanium " well we are called rifts . Robotic enhanced .individual .fighting .Safeguards . We protect the last city of the eternal after the rest of the empire was destroyed. For the last 900 years give or take we have protected these lands for generations." So they are protectors of a city ? Ok makes sense so far.

Osmium " we are built to kick ass !!!" She pushed her fist into the air as she did a little jump.

Titanium continued " we were once normal eternal enderkin but we had robotic augmentations to enhance are protective abilities. Only about 15% of us is still what can be considered human as you would say. Mainly our brains , head , organs like heart , lungs though those have also been kinda modified and parts of the body with some flesh and skin .The rest has Been replaced and added to with technology." So their ... whats the word.

Eoin " your cyborgs ?" Titanium nodded.

Stella " does it feel... wrong to be so robotic?" Stella asked slightly weirded out by the idea of making so much of a persons body no longer their body.

Titanium " well at first , its like you have to learn how to walk , run and your new abilities like a new born but having your full mind intact. Though you can lose some of what you once were. For example ive lost a lot of how i take in humour" stella slightly laughed for some reason " i don't understand that noise your making with you mouth.... Thats a joke ... i think" Osmium started laughing her ... metal ? Ass off.

Eoin " so you can lose some skills and emotions ?" Titanium nodded to his answer again.

" so how do you transform your different limbs into weapons and things ?" I asked curious.

Osmium " i can answer this one , basically we lose all the lower parts of are arms most of the time which allows us to make are arms sore enough stuff to turn into different guns and blades" hmm cool.

Eoin " how do you power your augmentations ? I can't imagine your blood would work"

Titanium " we have a special device on our hears to help pump energy through our blood and are artificial robotic veins to power our systems even our eyes have robotic stuff in them. As for how the energy gets there in our chest we store a battery like device , we get power put in them and that powers us. Basically we dont eat we just take it energy directly into our chests" well that's interesting.

Eoin " reminds me of my old body " titanium was confused what he meant by old body " yeah ill explain later its a bit complicated..... not that being a cyborg thing isnt I suppose"

Titanium " i see . Well we still have time i dont see why you cant all tell us who you are after all we told you about us some what" well it was only fair.
