Part 28 : a shot fired.

(Pov narrator)

A few minutes before the fight between Patrick and lilith scorn had sent heresy and strife to meet with the two red legion spy's they had. The two spy's were large vex who were willing to betray the red legion as long as they were not killed with the rest of them when the darkness comes.

Naturally scorn didnt give two shits about what they wanted and was probably going to kill them anyways but for now he needed them alive for their main purpose. To prevent the red legion and frost bourne from making an alliance against them.

While lilith was making sure everything was prepared for the fight most red legion troops weren't exactly looking out for two vex sneaking off which they did.

The two vex spy's met up with strife and heresy to discuss what they should do , scorn had ordered them to have patrick killed to either cut off the head of the frost bourne or that plus the red legion being framed for Patrick's death.

Strife " the objective is to kill patrick the frost bourne leader . You two need to figure out exactly how to do that . Once its done if you are caught we will try to get you out." The two vex looked at each other thinking of ideas for the assassination attempt.

Heresy " you two dont talk much do you ?" They didnt answer as they turned to discuss what thy could to kill patrick quick and simple when he arrives.

Strife " lets just let them work soon enough they will thunk of something hopefully and are work here will be done.

The vex turned around and had some what of a plan , they said that they would wait for the fight to be finished since some one was needed for give the blade for the blood cut thing which would allow them both to come in since it would just be a friend of the other one.

Then the second vex would hide some where and when patrick is weakened he will shoot and try to kill him, if lilith doesnt accidentally kill him herself. With the plan set in motion the vex flew off back to the red legion camp outpost while strife and heresy were left alone.

Strife " if the plan doesnt work father will not be happy"

Heresy " well lets then hope it will work , hopefully father will see reason" he said not thinking it would end up that way , both had now realised scorn has been slipping far more into insanity as of late.

Strife " well then we will have to wait till we know how this goes"

Back to the present the vex fired its gun and shot patrick , the sound ripped through the air and then the bullet went at diagonal  angle so it pierced through Patrick's chest near the Center and came out threw the right side of his back.

He fell to the floor and was in incredibly pain. " PATRICK!!!" Hilda yelled , she ran towards him as alan pulled out his sword.

Then the vex brining the sword towards Patrick suddenly dashed towards Patrick attempting to stab him , hilda and Alan coudlnt reach them but then lilith grabbed it by the head and slammed the vex into the floor killing it instantly.

Lilith then put out her hands defensively " i didnt order this !!" She then turned to her guards " find the one who fired the weapon. Capture them if you can but kill them you must , do that let them escape!!" Her guards ran off to try and chase down the vex who now knew it would be chased and with his friend dead he knew his only chance was to escape with strife and heresy.

Hilda went down to patrick who was struggling to stay awake with blood spilling out from both sides of the gun shot. "We need to get him help other wise hes gonna bleed out !!" Lilith looked down at patrick.

Lilith " i will have a transport take you back to your city where you can take care of his wounds."

Alan " we need to get him their first" him and hilda held up patrick from each side and started carrying him out.
