🎶 Forever Young — Alphaville 🎶16th May 2043
"I'm off to the stadium!" Pablo shouted as he ran down the stairs while I was sitting on the sofa, reading a book. He walked up behind me and pressed a kiss on my cheek as I looked up at him with a grin. He had aged, definitely, but the slight wrinkles made him look even more like a DILF. He was 39 now and... well, I was over 40. His plan originally had been to retire last year, but the club had asked him to stay one more season, and since he still felt fit, he had agreed. He had obviously played less and given space to emerging talents, but the excitement of still being with his team and travelling to the games, was so special to him.
"That's weird... They still haven't published the squad list" he mumbled, checking his phone again.
"Mhm..." I hummed, trying to act as unsuspecting as possible.
"Probably that new social media girl, she's a mess... Did I tell you about the time she booty-called Roberto-" he started gossiping, in his typical question, but I had to cut him off.
"Amor, you're going to be late. Not very fitting for a captain on his farewell" I scolded him sweetly and he grinned.
"Fine. I'll see you later then" he sighed and gave me one last peck before walking out."He's gone!" I shouted as loud as possible.
"Don't worry, we saw everything. You two are disgusting" our eldest son Juanca spat as he trotted down the stairs, followed by his twin brother.
"Hey, Dad's still got the rizz. We shouldn't be too hard on him today if he wants to feel young" Paco joked.
"Stop it, you two. Your father and I are still very much in love, you should be grateful for that!" I warned them as I stood up and grabbed my bag."You have everything? Shin pads? Your hair gels?" I asked, but they both rolled their eyes and groaned.
"Mum, yes! It's not our first football game" Paco huffed.
"But your first one on the big stage! With your father! On his retirement! You can't embarrass yourselves!" I reminded them as we walked to our Range Rover.
"Alright, alright, we'll be on our best behaviour" Juanca chuckled as he sat himself on the backseat."Have you thought about who's going to get subbed in for Papi?" I asked.
"Paco should, he's the midfielder" Juanca shrugged and I was once again surprised by how easy the two of them got along. The complete contrary of our younger set of twins - Diego and Antonio.
"Thanks, bro" Paco told him and they fist-bumped which I eyed with a proud smile through my rear-view mirror. We arrived at the training centre and I dropped off the boys, who were going to the stadium with the team. A bunch of youngsters from the academy had been called up alongside them, to raise no suspicions as to why Gavi's sons were present on the bench for their father's last game. Plus, the league had already been won, so it was the perfect chance to introduce some emerging new talents to the first team. I leaned back in my seat and made my way to the beauty salon, where I got my hair and nails done. And a nice waxing, small present for my retiring husband.
Then, I drove to the stadium, where I was greeted by lots of familiar faces along the way up to the box: Victor, the security guy at the VIP entrance, a bunch of fellow WAGs and their families, our freshly elected president Piqué and finally, I was also reunited with the rest of my children that had been brought here by my mother.
"Aw, look at you, you all look beautiful" I complimented them as I kissed everyone's cheeks and heads, while they probably thought I was being embarrassing as hell.Pablo ❤️
