Marion stared at the unmerciful sun, shuddering for a long moment. She could hear her husband yelling for her. His voice seemed far away.
She sat up, dust covered and bruised. Her one glove was torn and her hand was bloody. She pulled the scarf from around her neck and wrapped her trembling hand.
Stepping to the edge, she gave a wave.
