Flight to Kamchatka
1960
Inside Shorty's Plane
The plane flew in low, drifting between mountains.
Indy had his eyes shut, hat over his face... and his knuckles were white.
"Wahoo!" Emily yelled and glanced back, as Shorty banked the plane in the opposite direction, angling the nose downward.
"Dad - you're fooling no one!" She called.
Indy pushed his hat up. "Em - the last time I was in a plane with Shorty - it crashed."
"But I wasn't the pilot!" Shorty yelled, turning the plane around a mountain and re-angling the nose downward.
The supplies in the back shifted.
Indy winced at the noise, bracing himself. "Considering you crashed here before, that is not the answer I want to hear!"
"What?" Both the adult children chorused, ignoring him.
Indy sighed and shoved his hat back down over his face, counting loudly on his fingers. "Don't die! Don't unleash any ancient evils! Try not to make anything explode! And wake me up when we get there!"
