Edo smiled at Indy, as Emily and Chiba circled each other. "She is an incredible fighter. You trained her well. I think I'll make her mine."

Chiba lowered his center of gravity, spreading his arms wide.

"My daughter belongs to no one against her will, Edo," Indy growled, testing the ropes and feeling the handcuffs tighten.

Suddenly Chiba charged. His shoulder slammed into Emily's midsection and he threw her over his shoulder.

The impact shook Emily and made her go limp.

Then she looked at Indy's terrified face, as he realized her survival instincts were directing her to a different reaction instead of fighting. Emily gathered her strength through the hideous pain wracking her body.

"Let me go!" She snarled, kicking, punching and writhing, as Chiba carried her to the sacrifice stone, shoving her in place and beginning to tie her up.

Edo offered his hand. "I'd like to know you better, Miss Jones. And I'm certain my second in command Chiba, who you sliced and burned across the face, would like that pleasure as well."

The bloody ninja leader grunted in menace, squeezing Emily's torso below the rib cage with the ropes, making it difficult for her to breathe.

"Sacrifices prefer virgins," she rasped as Edo drew close to hear her retort. "Hold it in, Edo - or you won't get what you want." She leapt off the stone platform, kicking Edo in the crotch.

Edo yowled and slapped her across the jaw. His hand broke, bones jutting through the skin.

Indy tried to charge forward, but the standing stone of sacrifice held him in place against his furious will to protect his daughter.

Emily laughed in Edo's face, cackling like her mother, Marion Ravenwood. She was half tied, hands cuffed behind her - but standing in front of the sacrifice stone, completely undaunted. "They didn't tell you about my jaw? The knowing ones didn't know? What kind of wimpy bullies do you worship?"

"Em?" Indy warned, seeing the excessively tall shadows slithering toward her. "Emily..."
