Indy shook his head slightly. "I remember none of that."
"You were drugged," Shorty admitted.
"It makes sense," Em replied. "Doc Heiser and Grandpa Abner weren't clear on the limits of the Unseen Realm, but there were plenty of cultures who thought certain areas were sacred or sinister space and either offered sacrifices to keep the spirits at bay, or to appease them."
"And no one's fed these bastards in a long time," Indy growled.
"But, there were certain points where the monsters were more real, and Indy and I felt like ghosts," Shorty admitted. "Like we were... out of our bodies."
Emily swallowed. "Something like that happened to me in the tomb cave in. Did either of you get knocked out?"
"I hit him hard, Em - and he was just a kid," Indy swallowed. "I'm sorry, Shorty. If I could go back..."
"We wouldn't have picked up that dumb blonde," Shorty interrupted and finished.
"Best decision I've heard so far," Emily declared. "You should have taken Mom."
"Focus, kids," Indy warned with a grin. "And your mother is coming next time, Em. I'm tired of leaving her."
