Lizavet slugged Shorty. He stumbled back, slamming against the opposite side of the cave.

"What the...?" Shorty stammered. "Lizavet!"

Lizavet gave a screech, fell to her knees, hands protecting her head and trembled. Her language switched to her native tribe and couldn't be heard clearly.

"What?" Shorty cried helplessly confused, staring at Indy and Emily. "What'd I do?" He started to move toward her.

Indy stepped in. "She's scared, Shorty." He shrugged off his jacket. "Em, give her this. You know what I used to do when you were remembering the tomb?"

Emily nodded, taking Indy's jacket. "I remember."

Indy started into the darkness, removing a hatchet from one of their packs. "It looks like the storm passed us. If I remember, there's a few trees not far from here. We need a fire. C'mon Shorty." He looked at Emily. "If we're not back in fifteen minutes - Don't come after us until dawn, or until you can see. Listen to Lizavet about the volcano and do whatever she thinks is best."

Emily looked up at her father. "Got it, Dad."

"I'm serious, Em."

"I learned, Dad." She glanced at Lizavet. "Besides... you taught me not to leave people who were scared."

Indy smiled softly. "You taught it to me first, Em. Love you."

"Love you too, Dad."

Indy clapped Shorty on the shoulder. "Let's go."
