"DAD!" Emily yelled in Indy's face. Her father was unresponsive. He stood before her, staring into the room, slightly above her head, focusing on an ancient boundary stone, unable to move.Shorty rushed in. "Oh no... I saw this in the Temple of Doom."
"Shorty!" Emily motioned him. "I can't get Dad to respond! Its not medical! His eyes are still moving, and I think he's there... he just won't..." Emily was near tears. "I can't get him to connect with me! I've never seen anything like this! DAD!" She shook Indy's shoulders. Indy was unresponsive, staring up at the top of the boundary stone artifact, seeing, but not seeing.
Shorty ran to Emily, pulling her away. "Careful - he once hit me in this state."
"What is this?" Emily fought Shorty as he blocked her from Indy. "What did your grandmother give him?"
Shorty paused. "I have no idea. But the last time this happened, he was drugged, put in a trace and forced into an ancient ritual. He was once of the priests for an ancient cult. They wanted him to do a human sacrifice."
"What? No! That's not Dad!" Emily leaned forward and shouted at Indy again. "DAD!"
