Shorty's Grandmother smiled and began the Legend of the Seven Swords of Diya...
"A very long time ago, there was great unrest in the land.
"There had been war among the divine beings in the heavens, and the people begged the Creator to intercede. The Creator sent a flood. And there was rebirth after much death.
"But the rebellious divine beings declared they were gods and interference continued when they formed a rebellious kingdom council of their own. Their plan was to capture women... and use the women's capacity to create life, to raise up their own army of monsters to enslave all the people throughout their land, and beyond.
"The first family of survivors knew this, as did the Creator.
"There were special swords made in the storehouses and blacksmith forges of the heavens. The Creator presented them, not to men who would use them for evil, in a lust for power... but to seven women who had the gift to see into the supernatural world of the unseen realm.
"These seven swords could not only slay the supernatural rebellious demi-gods and their demonic spawn, but imprison them in the underworld.
"You see, the swords acted as keys... And just as heaven has many storehouses... the underworld has many prisoners.
"These women did battle - saving many and imprisoning a monstrous army in a land to the far north."
Grandmother looked at Shorty. "Which is where I think your plane crashed in 1944."
