Chapter 99

Y/n's POV

As we continued, our journey back to the guild, a light started shining behind us. "Uh guys.... Something's happening with the block piece." Celestia said. I looked back, seeing the clock piece glowing a golden light. "What's going on?" I asked, using my hand to shield my eyes. 

"Let's get a move on. Sapphire, Carla, keep an eye on the light the clock piece is giving off. We'll use it to find the others." Big sis said. Sapphire and Carla nodded as we started running in the direction of the light being brighter on our clock piece. We eventually made it to the location that mom's team was after as I saw light from magic as it was building up. "Let's go Y/n!" Big sis called. The two of us rushed forward, spotting Coco kneeling in front of someone who was casting some kind of attack spell. Big sis switched to her Adamantine armor while I prepared to cast Aqua Shield as we landed in front of Coco as the older man prepared to fire his attack. Light filled the cave as the attack clashed with my spell and Big sis' armor's spell. "You!" The man growled.

"The chance to cross swords didn't present itself before, but at last we meet. Prepare to battle." Big sis said, as I released my spell. I turned to see Coco on the ground, tears forming in her eyes as I smiled. "Looks like someone wasn't fast enough to get away." I said, patting her head.

"Titania." Byro said, glaring at big sis. 

"Do not speak my name. It disgusts me to hear it said by someone who would turn on their allies. You're despicable." Big sis threatened. 

"Erza! Y/n!" Mom and Dad said, smiling at us. I waved as I saw them before hearing Gray speak up. "We're not in the habit of putting up with bullies like you, old man." Gray said. 

"Gray! Juvia! Wait, why is Lyon here?" Happy asked. 

"Come on, is this old timer really giving you this much trouble, charcoal breath?" Gray asked, teasing dad. Dad complained about what Gray said as he started shouting at him. "Everyone made it." Mom said, looking around.

"Of course. Why wouldn't we come, mom?" I said, smiling at her. 

"And everyone found the other clock pieces." Mom said, smiling.

"Even Gajeel's here." Dad said, looking at Gajeel.

"As you can see, we've obtained all five clock pieces, save one. Hand over what you stole from Lucy and we'll leave in peace. I'll only ask once." Big sis said.

"Then you'll have to take it from me, Titania." Byro said.

"You're outnumbered, Byro. We'll take them alright and seal them. Now be smart, it's over, surrender it!" Big sis demanded.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. The Infinity Clock was originally Zentopia's property. Destiny demands that we watch over it." Byro said.

"What?" Coco asked. I turned to face Byro as he stood ready, gripping the clock piece tight. "Is that true?" Mom asked, looking at Dan.

"Well, to be honest... I'm not sure." Dan answered. Byro's clock piece began to glow like it had originally when we first found the writing. "You guild rats have become too involved in this. You glimpsed into a darkness that the world should never know. Because of that, I cannot allow you to leave here alive." Byro threatened.

"Enough! Prepare yourself!" Big sis said, switching to her Heaven's Wheel armor before attacking. Everyone else joined in, attacking him with magic. Before I could start attacking, I heard mom speak up. "No! Don't attack! Magic won't work! What the heck are you doing?" Mom said. I stopped my spell as I looked at her while dad attacked Byro as well. "Such fools." Byro said, waving his staff. The spells that were heading towards him vanished into as everyone looked at him. "What just happened?" Gray asked.

"Even with our numbers?" Big sis asked.

"Magic attacks don't work on him." Dad mentioned.

"Then why did you attack with magic?" I asked, looking at dad. He didn't answer me as big sis and Gray stepped back towards us. "This will be interesting." Big sis said.

"I think you mean annoying." Gray corrected.

"Right? Now I'm just an average lame old talking cat." Happy complained.

"One spell or a thousand. It makes no difference. In my presence, wizards cease to be wizards entirely." Byro said.

"So we get to do this the old fashion way then?" I asked, cracking my knuckles.

"There's still one option left." Big sis said.

"If we can't use magic, we'll use our fists." Gray added.

"How arrogant! I've been trained to fight against fifty opponents at once. You won't even warm me up." Byro said, looking at us. Dad stepped up next to everyone prepared to fight. "Well, well. Sounds like octogeezer's fired up too." Dad said.

"Stay focused. He's a very proficient fighter." Big sis warned.

"Sounds like a challenge." Gray said. I looked at the clock piece Byro was holding as it started glowing brighter before I heard mom gasp. I turned to see her spacing out before she muttered something. "Dad?" Mom muttered. She gasped again, but she wasn't moving before I heard Byro grunt. I turned back to him, seeing him let go of the piece before it flew into the air along with the other pieces. "Big sis, look the clock." Michelle said. Mom snapped out of whatever was happening to her before she looked at the clock pieces as well. "I see it, but what's happening?" Mom asked.

The pieces flew up to what seemed like the top of a temple before there was a loud clanging sound like a clock had just changed to a new hour. Light filled the cave as the pieces came together, forming the clock. Dad complained about his ears hurting before Happy joked about it being a loud alarm clock. "The tomb's collapsing." Big sis said.

"It can't be. Why now?" Mom asked.

"This isn't the time to space out. Let's scram!" Gray said. I sniffed the air, finding something familiar in it. "That smell. Keep your guard up. We're in real hot water now." Dad said. We looked up near the clock as a group stepped out of the darkness, looking down at us.
