Qiang Yong (強勇): means "one who has strength and courage", Emperor yao, Dragon of the Fire Clan. Strong-willed, proud and decisive, Qiang Young has a great dislike for humans nurtured after the war between humans and yaos.
Su Ning (肅宁): means calm and respectful, human doctor, son of Su Wu and Su Xue. He has a distant and ethereal expression but sharp reasoning and intelligence, in addition to a turbulent and mysterious past.
Qiang Ling: the Empress Dowager, mother of Qiang Yong. She is a dragon from the Air Clan, with gentle and benevolent manners, but not at all naive as people think.
Xiao Zong: yao servant of the Empress.
Hu Long: yao spider, servant of the Empress.
Dr. Han Xia: doctor yao fox.
Tung Shiu: shifu of Su Ning and Cheng Doi.
Tong Ye: Current master of the Medical Sect.
Lai Sze: former master of the Medical Sect and former second master of the Taoist Cultivation Sect.
Zhi Lu (智律): means "law of wisdom", current human Emperor and personal friend of Su Ning.
