Chapter 9 - A Nice Surprise.

Doctor Su approached, truly surprised. He did not expect to receive any special retribution for the work he was doing.
Qiang Yong was also unaware of this event, but he was more surprised at how that doctor had such a light and silent gait. If it were a war, he would have a hard time hearing him approaching.

The Empress invited Su Ning to sit next to her on the divan.

The Empress's servants were yao of different species and they synchronized their movements according to their semi-human form. Xian Zhong had a small lizard tail, so it was at the bottom to avoid hitting the others. Another yao had no way to hide its wings, remaining constantly floating in the air.

Su Ning would certainly not have another chance to see such a spectacle on earth, the movements were so graceful and the light reflection effect made the image of the servants flicker as if they were candle flames. He smiled discreetly, trying to capture all the nuances of the movements.
Really... this was a nice surprise.
