Qiang Yong jumped out of the rubble with ease, carrying Su Ning on his lap as if he were a feather. The doctor was not used to this position and grabbed the other's robe without knowing how to hold it properly. The last time he remembered being carried was during the kidnapping at the Yao Medical Sect and he was carried like a burlap sack. Seeing the doctor so clumsy in his arms, Qiang Yong laughed.

"Are you scared? I won't let you go. I will never let you fall or stumble again." He smiled at him tenderly.
Su Ning blushed slightly. What kind of situation did he get himself into this time anyway?? He felt so strange! As if something was tickling the inside of his chest.
"You can put me down now. We have to catch the killer or else he will escape!"

"The killer? Ren Loo already had him by the throat! He thought he was very clever, but a dragon never loses its prey. He has no way of hiding from us." He smiled until his eyes closed, showing a row of perfect white teeth. This time the doctor even felt a little cornered, as if even he was included in that list of prey. (And it is, by the way).

"Ren Loo also wouldn't waste the whole morning to finish off that bunch of weak clones, even though she enjoyed playing so much." Qiang Yong pointed out, walking over while carrying Du Ning comfortably.
"Hu, right. Then you can let me down then, since everything has been resolved. I don't want to go back to my original form here in the middle of the street dressed like that."

"It doesn't look so bad to me. You look good in any outfit."
Su Ning ".........." It turns out that the clothes will be too short!
Indeed, Ren Loo appeared dragging the unconscious fugitive by the collar, tied ridiculously with An Shu. In the absence of rope, it was the snake. He did not know how to hide his face before his master. Little did he know that Su Ning was also not in a better position.
"What happened? Was Dr. Su hurt?" Ren Loo asked with false innocence.

"The emperor decided to exercise his arms by carrying me." Su Ning retorted exasperatedly for the first time.
"Do my arms look weak to you?" The emperor blinked, bringing him closer with a light squeeze. Su Ning pursed his lips a little irritably. He didn't need to say that if this yao wanted to, he could turn his bones into dust with just this grip. However, this forced approach caused him to actually be compressed by the powerful muscles of his forearm.

He preferred not to answer that question. Qiang Yong found his non-reaction to the provocation adorable.
Usually the doctor always had an answer on the tip of his tongue and seeing him speechless because of him was rewarding. Su Ning had no defense for this kind of provocation. At least with his sister's sarcastic arrival, Qiang Yong stopped bullying him and put him down.
The killer was then handed over to the yamen and Su Ning and An Shu gave their statements. Qiang Yong and Ren Loo assured that they were telling the truth, besides, who would doubt the emperor himself?

After that, they returned to the Orchid's house before the effect of Su Ning's medicine wore off. The Black Orchid was so elated with the news that it made preparations for a big celebratory lunch. Justice was served to the dead girls and she would go the next day with Chuan Zuo to testify and recognize the culprit.

Su Ning had gone upstairs to change and came down in less than a cup of tea. He checked Miss. Chuan once again and finally discharged him, leaving only a few more medicinal pills to take in the morning.
"What are you going to do now, doctor?" The girl asked, her smile was now clear as a ray of sunlight.
"Um... since I'm here, I should stay for a couple of days. Some people have already asked me for assistance, it might even seem like longer."

"Just going to work, Dr. Su? You should do some tourism! There are a lot of interesting things here. I even showed A-Shu some stores with a variety of items." Ren Loo laughed, sipping a glass of wine before the party even started. The intimate treatment caused the normally white snake to redden. "By the way, thank you very much for defending me at that time." Ren Loo gave An Shu a wink still, grateful that he had defended her from the assassin so fiercely.

Ren Loo and Qiang Yong loved to provoke their victims, in this the brothers were identical. Su Ning was too discreet to make any comments about it. Lunch was served: a real feast was improvised with what was available in the House's pantry and some other delicacies purchased from a neighboring restaurant. The orchids were all happy, laughing and congratulating Chuan Zuo on his recovery.

The Black Orchid was talking to Dr. Su in one of the corners of the room. She was shocked that the killer was a human!
"I could never imagine something like this. I thought it was a yao with a grudge against humans!"
"Well, He was not an ordinary person. He had a certain level of cultivation as well..."
The woman continued to unravel her impressions of the case but Su Ning let his mind wander.

That person's cultivation style seemed familiar to him, and an idea came to his mind. He wasn't staying any longer just for the patients. If his hypothesis was correct, he would soon have problems. Furthermore, throughout the celebratory banquet, Qiang Yong was surrounded by the girls of the House, who took the opportunity to try to please and attract the emperor's attention. Thus, Qiang Yong was unable to approach Su Ning for even an instant.

At a glance, he observed the doctor listening to Black Orchid's comments about the resolution of the case, which somehow made him feel a little relieved. After all, Su Ning wasn't actually chasing any of the girls. However, the doctor was not so lucky and seeing Qiang Yong so besieged by the beauties, he couldn't help but feel an inexplicable discomfort in his chest.

After lunch, the Emperor went to bed and early in the afternoon, as Su Ning predicted, he had to go out to see a case of a woman who came to him because of her children's persistent cough. Su Ning and An Shu then left to walk her home.

Qiang Yong in the meantime had just taken a quick nap in one of the rooms. Ren Loo decided to return to the Fortress first while he waited for the doctor to finish his work to have that private conversation. So he didn't have much else to do there. It had been a little longer than an incense burn time when he heard one of the orchids hitting the Parthian and calling him.

"Your Majesty! The mayor requests an audience with you!"
"Who? Fei Mou?" He was still a little drowsy and stood up unsteadily. He went downstairs in annoyance to see what this weasel's problem was again!
Fei Mou was agitated, pacing back and forth. "Emperor! They found out!"
“Who discovered what, Fei Muo?”
"Xun Dui! He heard about the crimes and came here! I said he would come sooner or later!"

The emperor frowned. How sudden! How did he find out so quickly?
"This will be easy to resolve if he doesn't want to cause trouble. The culprit was arrested today and was handed over to the yamen."
"Same?" Fei Mou widened his eyes in surprise. "How efficient!"
Something you don't usually see in his jurisdiction, right? Qiang Yong smiled mischievously.
"However, let's see how the cultivators behave. I want to see how far they go, hehe." The Emperor smiled, cracking his neck.

Author's Note

You can't even take a nap in peace in this novel. And the cultivators are so idle, they don't give the emperor a minute of peace 😤.
I just want to see when he loses his temper.
