Su Ning wiped his tears, trying to take a deep breath. He looked up at the dark sky and saw a small white flake fall from the black expanse. He had seen it so many times. The single flake was soon no longer lonely and others soon came to keep it company. Ren Shyu looked with compassion at the doctor's contemplative countenance.

He had a sudden fear that that child would be swallowed by the darkness of the sky.
"Su Ning, let's go inside. It's going to snow heavily soon, you're even barefoot." He helped him up and then noticed a small difference. "You're a little taller! And your hair has grown a little too... so it's a sign that you're getting back to normal!"

Su Ning took a peek, his clothes were indeed a little shorter. It was as if he had jumped from nine to eleven years old. The boy's expression was much more mature, a little less warm than before and Ren Shyu was not surprised. The life of a person without a family must be very hard. Su Ning tilted his head, a little dazed.

"It seems so... shall we then?" He asked with a weak smile. The two walked back inside, but the path suddenly seemed too long. A white mist surrounded them and Ren Shyu felt lost. How could they get lost inside a closed courtyard? And where did this fog come from?

It was still snowing, now much more than before, to the point that it was starting to accumulate on the ground. A terrible premonition took hold of his heart.
"There's something wrong here." He worriedly turned to Su Ning and instinctively grabbed his wrist.
"I think we've fallen into some kind of trap." Su Ning observed. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left the room..."

"What? This entire fortress was fortified today! You should be able to go wherever you want!" The other grunted, looking around. With a gesture of his hand he conjured some fire and threw it around to see if it increased the field of vision. The flames flashed in the eyes of Su Ning, who was very impressed by the dragon's powers, but it was as if they were in a large, empty field.

Ren Shyu was in a cold sweat. What should I do? Can I protect him?
They heard footsteps coming from behind and Ren Shyu pulled Su Ning behind him, placing himself in front of him.
Su Ning "........"
A cold, low laugh echoed around them. "Bravo, young dragon! If you come from a good family, you will naturally be good, haha."

Ren Shyu clenched his teeth tightly, holding the doctor's wrist tighter. The profile of a tall human figure clad in dark plate armor appeared from the white mist. Ren Shyu recognized that it was an ancient yao army armor like his father and uncle used. What did this mean?

The mysterious yao stared at Su Ning, who despite being pushed back by Ren Shyu, made no attempt to hide and returned the stranger with an icy gaze.
"Hehe, as for you Dr. Su, even though you're so young you still have those eyes like a frozen lake. They've always been so proud, I'd love to take them out and leave them in a glass to just admire them..."

"You didn't dare touch him!" Ren Shyu quickly retreated in terror, dragging Su Ning with him.
"Ah, boy... not now, of course. I have business to discuss with him first, when he remembers a little more. I didn't expect him to have trauma older than the war."
Ren Shyu swallowed. Was there still more???

Yao rested his chin thoughtfully and spoke to himself. "At an age like that, maybe twelve years old... he must have already joined the Sect. Now how many years until we find ourselves at the front? About four more, I think I need to speed this up a little more..." He walked towards them as if the young dragon was nothing to him.

Instead of being intimidated, Ren Shyu became angry and launched a barrier of flames again, more powerful than the fireball he used before. However, returning to logic, he used this to run away, pulling Su Ning with him. Without talking about it, Ren Shyu felt his entire body shaking, that yao really was too powerful for him!

Then he remembered that he was using qinggong and dragging a human along! He turned around, Su Ning seemed to be able to keep up with him well. The yao had said that at this age he was already in the Cultivation Sect! That was bad! He was quickly returning to normal and after the yao got what he wanted, he would get rid of him! By Buddha! How could he contact his uncle or mother?

He was met with a kick to the chest, which made him lose his breath and lose his balance, falling to the ground, on top of the human. He still coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood, and mentally cursed.
"I'd better get rid of you first. Well, I was going to do that. Let's go and extirpate the fire dragon clan." The yao raised its claws and launched a slashing strike.
"No!" Su Ning intervened, quickly casting a block.

The blow whipped against the protective array, returning towards the emissary.
Struck by his own blow, the yao moved away with blood spraying from his wounds and staining the white snow.
"Haha, that's great! You're already able to use the Buddha Palm at sixteen! What else did Tung Shiu teach you, Su Ning?"
"What you want after all?" Su Ning clenched his fists, holding back his anger. Ren Shyu stared at what was once a small child. Su Ning was now a young man, the same height as him.

His build was still thin and slender, but his back already had defined muscles. The robe no longer fit him and was making it difficult for him to move, so he took it off to just cover the bottom. His hair now reached below his shoulder line.
"Uhm, you still look very young from when I saw you... Tsc! Were you that old when we met?" Yao's wounds began to close.

Su Ning did not let his guard down. That opponent had already threatened his life and attacked a dragon. Ren Shyu stood up and rubbed the blood from his mouth.
He urgently needed to find a way to contact Qiang Yong! However, now seeing the yao and Su Ning facing each other face to face, he had a terrible feeling that made his body tremble. At the same age as him, the doctor was a cultivator and from the way he confronted his opponent without showing any fear...

The yao noticed this and with a mischievous smile he commented, "Ren Shyu... don't you think the anger you have towards cultivators is completely justified? I don't know how Qiang Yong allowed someone so dangerous to live for so long."
Ren Shyu opened his mouth but said nothing. The one who spoke was Su Ning, in self-defense.

"I didn't do anything to anyone." He responded with apparent calm.
"Really? I don't think Deng Choi would think so."
Both Su Ning and Ren Shyu stared at him in bewilderment.
"W-what do you mean by that?" Ren Shyu's voice trembled with anger. Su Ning just held the gaze that analyzed him.
"Well, I'll tell you then. Your shixiong was only killed by the mother of your little dragon friend here because you passionately destroyed his sword!"

The yao clapped his hands, laughing as if this was something very funny.
Ren Shyu was confused, he didn't know all the details of what happened during the war, but he could feel the consequences of those words from afar. Was Deng Choi the brother of Su Ning Sect? Shouldn't he avenge his death? He might not be able to face Ren Loo, but he was still experienced.

What if Su Ning decided to take revenge on him?
Ren Shyu stared at Su Ning's tense back, expecting the worst, but Su Ning continued to confront the yao. His fist shook slightly as he spoke, but his voice came out cold and impassive, similar to the one he knew.
"Deng Choi reaped what he sowed. He was warned about the consequences of his actions."
Ren Shyu looked up in stupefaction. This was the twenty year old Su Ning, Tung Shiu's third disciple.
