Qiang Yong arrived at the city hall very early, Fei Mou hadn't even arrived yet. Without bothering about it, he sat on the sofa in the weasel's office and waited patiently. Soon, sector employees brought him cake and tea to help with the wait. Fei Mou was very good at making others tired so his subordinates were experts at trying to reconcile the parties, although making the Emperor himself wait for him was too much, the boy serving Qiang Yong thought to himself.

However, moments later the mayor arrived out of breath. Of course he wouldn't dare to let the Dragon Emperor sit for hours in the empty room. This would be too much even for Fei Muo.
"Your majesty!" He bowed hastily and added "You're early."
Qiang Yong nodded slightly absently. he had indeed come earlier, but it was to avoid meeting Su Ning.

He also came just to find out what kind of problems were plaguing the province to the point where the weasel was pulling out its own hair. It wouldn't be a big deal for him to sort out anyway. Fei Mou also poured himself some tea and sat down on his chair.
"Aside from the homicide problem, are you still having conflicts with cultivators?" Qiang Yong interrogated, getting straight to the point of the matter. That was what the man at city hall had been complaining about all night. Fei Mou hurriedly nodded his head.

"The situation is complicated. He didn't get anything concrete, but after the murders we no longer have a way to hide and stop him from invading our area."

The two remained silent for a while, digesting this information. Fei Mou continued. "By the way, he is in a village near here. I believe he is already aware of the events and perhaps in a day or two he will be here."
Qiang Yong sighed and wiped some imaginary dirt off his fingernail. "As for the homicides, the culprit will soon be in our hands. And with regards to Xun Dui… if he causes trouble, he will have to answer to me."

Fei Mou swallowed hard, he wouldn't want to be in this cultivator's shoes. But he was intrigued by how quickly the murder cases were solved.
"Do you have anything prepared to capture the killer?"
"I don't...but someone I trust completely does." He laughed, very pleased with that. The weasel looked at him, a little disappointed.
"Ah! I hoped this matter would be restricted to as few people as possible..."

"I can guarantee that the people involved in this are the most discreet there are. He could easily walk in here without anyone seeing and kill you without making a sound."
Seeing the other's frightened expression, he smiled. "But that's not the case. That person wouldn't kill you even if he hated you from the bottom of his soul."
"Uhm... I imagine he would have something worse to punish me with."

"Only if you deserved it, I think. That person is a fair person. He wouldn't take revenge on someone just because he was wronged. He would need you to have done a lot of harm to a good number of people."
Fei Mou became agitated. He didn't harm that many people and his crimes only involved petty financial interests. However, he didn't know how to interpret the emperor's speeches and this vigilante suddenly seemed more threatening to him than someone who let himself be carried away by anger or the heat of the moment.

"If I can, I'd like to meet you and thank you when it's all over."
Qiang Yong stood up once he already had all the information he needed. He should return soon and accompany the delivery of gifts to the doctor. With an amused smile on his face, he turned to the mayor.
"You already know him. All you have to do is thank him later."

Su Ning had to take the formula to change gender again. This time Chuan Zuo helped him put on more discreet clothes for daily use, in a beige tone, decorated with gold details, so that he still carried an air of elegance. These clothes were a little more open, allowing him to have more range of motion. He preferred to keep his hair tied up in a bun, but some strands of hair insisted on falling loose. Chuan Zuo completed the hair arrangement with a beautiful golden ornament on top of his head.

Black Orchid watched everything, shaking her head from time to time regretfully behind her fan. What a waste a beauty like this working as a doctor. However, the night before, she noticed some suspicious nuances on the emperor's part. It was very likely that the doctor didn't know, but he already had an owner, and in fact, an owner who was a jar of vinegar. She smiled to herself and her cat ears flopped with excitement. Ah, airheaded doctor. Your  ideal love is well within your reach.

The yao thought that maybe she should give the emperor a little extra help and earn some points with him. She was good at matching couples. Even such an unusual pair would not be difficult to help once one of the lovers was aware of her passionate status and began his advance. Seeing Su Ning as Su Jie, she couldn't decide in which way he was more attractive. Qiang Yong has good taste after all, she concluded by closing her fan in approval.

She decided to arrange a private dinner to thank them after this little adventure. And an overnight stay in one of the best rooms. She suddenly laughed loudly, suspiciously, scaring the others.
"Ah! Don't bother." She clarified when Su Ning stared at her with an air of inquisition. "I was just thinking about how here in this city, yao and humans can love each other freely, it's a suitable place to form couples... It would be so good if all places were like this." She sighed.

The doctor didn't understand the fun of this, but Ren Loo turned to the yao, understanding her intention. Very satisfied with this strategy, the dragon fanned the fire even more. "You're absolutely right about that! My brother hated humans but the doctor here won his trust and sympathy. Who knows, maybe he'll choose a human wife now since he's never been interested in any yao before?"

The turn of the conversation was so unexpected that Su Ning fell into Ren Loo's trap. He imperceptibly frowned. Qiang Yong married? He felt uncomfortable and mentally reviewed the looks the emperor gave the women around him. However, he realized that there was nothing special about the way he looked at them. The only more intense and fixed looks he gave were at... the doctor coughed, choking on his own spittle.

"Everything is fine?" Chuan Zuo asked. Su Ning nodded. He regained his composure. Ren Loo couldn't help but smile, compassionately. Someone was already being bewitched.
"I'm going. I'm counting on your help." The doctor said, heading towards the exit in his courtesan guise.
He opened the umbrella that matched his clothes and walked gracefully down the street, as if nothing much had happened.

Author's Note

Poor Dr. Su. He is already condemned at the hands of these women. With Qiang Yong there are already three plotting against him 😅.
I'm sorry, doctor, but this time you won't escape.
