Then Qiang Yong felt a faint warm breath on his neck. He grabbed the stunned doctor and faced him. Su Ning was unconscious anyway; however, breathing. Given the seriousness of the doctor's condition, the pearl that Ren Loo gave him, capable of curing any injury or illness, was only enough to close the fatal wound made by the sword and restore his life. Qiang Yong hugged him tightly again, crying profusely with relief. Thank you Heavens! Thank you Ren Loo!
_________________________________________Su Ning moaned softly, his entire body hurt. He opened his eyes slowly, narrowing them a little because of the brightness. He had the impression that he had had his eyes closed for a long time and they seemed difficult to open. Little by little he was able to stretch and move his fingers and toes, as if his entire body were numb.
His pupils focused on the ceiling for a few moments. He couldn't make out where he was but he felt his body sinking onto a soft bed. He also felt like he was covered, with just the right amount of heat, not too hot and not too cold. He tried to get up but his chest hurt from the movement. With some difficulty he observed his own body. There was a new white, vertical scar next to his heart, next to a familiar, longer one.
Both were completely healed. But there were also purple bruises and his arms and legs were bandaged to protect and treat burns covered with an herbal poultice. Su Ning sighed. His face was a little swollen and his mouth felt dry. Trying to remember what had happened, he gradually recovered his recent memories. Qiang Yong went to save him. How did he achieve this? He was supposed to be dead with a wound like that!
His last memory was of feeling something round and sweet go down his throat. Was it some miracle pill? This time even he was stunned, how could there be such an efficient medicine in the world?
His reflection was interrupted when the bedroom door opened. He turned his head and saw Qiang Yong enter. His expression was downcast but his face brightened as soon as their eyes met. Su Ning felt his heart break seeing him so pale and thin. It could only be his fault!
"Qiang..." He called out weakly. The emperor quickly approached and sat on the edge of the bed, grabbing his hand with great eagerness.
"You finally woke up! You've been sleeping for two days! Dr. Han said you were still very weak so I thought it would take longer.""Two days!?" Su Ning was startled. The dragon caressed his face tenderly. His eyes were moist and shining brightly. Su Ning could say that these were the most beautiful eyes in existence without hesitation.
"You scared me to death, hehe." Qiang Yong laughed, but the tears he held back could finally fall silently."It's my fault." Su Ning lightly shook his hand. "This Su promises not to make you cry ever again."
"Really? What else did you promise me?"
Su Ning slowly smiled. "I promise that this heart is entirely yours, for all my life. And that I will only leave your side when you don't want me anymore."
Qiang Yong pulled him towards him, hugging him in a controlled manner. Dr. Han had said that Su Ning had broken three ribs."Then prepare to be with me all your life. You are my everything! I will never let you go!" Qiang Yong sobbed hard. The two stayed like that for a while, holding each other. Su Ning still felt a little pain but all he wanted to be able to feel was the warmth and affection that came from the Emperor.
"Su Ning... so your answer is yes? Will you marry me?" Qiang Yong suddenly asked.
"How could the answer be anything other than yes? I said I love you!"The dragon sniffed. "Maybe you didn't want to get married after all..."
"I said I belong to you! That's all that matters! If you want to marry me or just live together it doesn't matter, as long as I can be with you!"
Qiang Yong laughed. "Speak again."
"What exactly? That I love you, that I want to marry you?"
"Yes." The dragon was delighted with this and releasing him from the embrace, he approached his mouth to his pale lips, kissing them softly, sucking them as if they were sweets.
