Chapter 79 - News travels fast

Qiang Yong was walking through the garden. He fled without saying goodbye to Su Ning and even gave him two days to think about his proposal. On the one hand he felt like a coward, but then he thought it was the right thing to do.

The way he approached the doctor, he could easily refuse his request.
He wanted it to be anything but complicated, like dragging Su Ning with him and imprisoning him forever in the Fortress, then little by little he would love him...

Maybe he would do that if the doctor didn't accept it. He had no choice. Su Ning was his and he wouldn't let him go this time! He gazed at the plum blossoms. Its white tone softly tinged with pink in the center reminded him of the way the other's white skin flushed in his arms. Qiang Yong smiled, feeling his heart beat faster.

Since he woke up he couldn't stop remembering the moments of the previous night. He wanted to do it all over again. His sweet memories were interrupted by a few light pats on his shoulder.

"Yong-er, what's wrong? You seem so anxious." She was the Empress. She noticed the change in her son's behavior and his constant wanderings these days with Ren Loo.

But she didn't give her many details and she knew something was going on behind her back. Qiang Yong looked her deeply in the eyes, thinking about whether she should tell him.

His Adam's apple bobbed up and down and he then spoke slowly, considering his words.
"I found someone I knew during the war...and I love him, I-I confessed to him."
Empress "..........."

"OH! BY BUDDHA! In the end you already liked someone and I was wasting my time introducing you to so many yao! Yong-er, you should have told me that! I would have found that person for you even if she was in Hell!" (That's mother's love!)

Qiang Yong was under heavy interrogation. He turned red up to his ears at these questions.

"What about the doctor? Can you talk to him?" The Empress asked anxiously. "Ah! Surely he must be involved in this after what you told me!"

"Ah! Has he already told this story? Apparently I'm going to have a brother-in-law soon!" Ren Loo celebrated.
"Su Ning won't stop helping the emperor... we'd better go there and offer our support! Can you talk to Huang Jia? She'll be of great help!"

I think they could have married him by force. Ren Loo doesn't think differently either, for her, Qiang Yong should have already kidnapped the doctor as soon as he discovered that he was the one he was looking for.
