Chapter 71 - Ex Brothers (3)

When Su Ning arrived at the Orchid House, Mei Fuo and Qiang Yong were already comfortably drinking together in the room. The emperor's good mood was overflowing. He had yet another glimpse of the power Su Ning still had and he thought about how strong he must have been when his core was still intact. He could even go head to head with him!

The Emperor was very proud of this performance and what before could have been a warning sign for him, today was more than admiration.
Before Ren Loo left, Qiang Yong asked her if she didn't know a way to restore a spiritual core. Madam Ren promised to check this for him and the emperor's heart was filled with hope.

Although, Su Ning would be more dependent on me this way... He thought and liked this idea, but it would be much better if the doctor was grateful to him. It would be even better if he fell in love with him. Anyway, Qiang Yong felt confident about that last part, not because of Su Ning, but because when he was determined to achieve something, he would move heaven and earth to obtain it.

Su Ning was very happy to be able to see Fei Muo, the expectation of solving a medical problem was too tiring for him. Fei Muo, on the other hand, was surprised that this kind and caring person was responsible for arresting the murderer and also driving out the cultivators. He was someone so peaceful! "Uhm, doctor! Thank you, thank you very much!" Fei Muo was grateful when the doctor gave him the prescription for a plaster on his knees, along with some recommendations.
"By the way, are you related to Su Jie? You even have the same surname."

Su Ning stared at the emperor with a slight frown. "Actually I was in disguise... We are the same person, a potion temporarily transformed me into a woman." He explained placidly.

"Has the mayor heard about this yet?" Su Ning spoke indifferently, as if he had swatted away a fly. "I believe Xun Dui won't bring you any trouble for a while."
The weasel bowed, making several proposals for rewards to the doctor, however, he had to be content with paying him just three copper coins as usual.

He left the Orquídeas house in shock, such humility made him want to disappear from the face of the earth.
Qiang Yong was rolling with laughter. Seeing Fei Muo's dismayed expression was the icing on the cake tonight.
"What's wrong with you? You're so weird." Su Ning poked him with his fingertip, then stopping to think, he placed his palm on his forehead to see if it was a fever.

Qiang Yong just smiled and gently held his hand in front of his eyes and analyzed it. "You have the calluses of someone who once held a sword, but now they have softened from dealing with pharmaceutical formulations."
"That seems obvious to me. You know I was once a cultivator." Su Ning replied, despite him saying little about it.

"You and Xun Dui are like oil and water."
"Did you spend the whole afternoon watching that? I thought an emperor was pretty busy."
"And I am. But I also have people I trust who help me when I'm busy with something of greater importance."
He was still holding onto the doctor's hand and smelled it, pressing his palm against his nose. Su Ning felt a slight shiver and he withdrew his hand.

The Emperor smiled, Su Ning's hand usually smelled of herbs.
"Xun Dui doesn't like you?" The dragon asked as if he didn't know so many details of Su Ning's past.
"Xun Dui is a disciple of Ce Rang, the latter had a certain one-sided rivalry towards my shifu, so his disciples seem to act in the same way against me. But that's not relevant, I'm no longer a cultivator after all... Now I'm going to retire. You should do the same."

He went up the stairs to his room on the first floor, being followed by the dragon. At that moment, the Black Orchid appeared right in front of them. "Dr. Su is emperor!Come with me!" The two looked at each other in doubt and followed her. The courtesan took them to a room on the second floor, wide and spacious, like an exquisite decoration.

"Two couples accidentally occupied your room, forgive me for the inconvenience. I already managed to get your belongings back, of course. It was a mistake and that's why I provided the best room in the house for you! I'm sorry we were so crowded. After the presentation from Dr. Su, a lot of clients came today, they probably wanted to see him... Ah! But I already took care of that too! The woman spoke so quickly that Su Ning barely had time to reflect. She closed the door, leaving the two men alone. Qiang Yong smiled and sprawled lazily on the wide and comfortable bed.
"Hmmm... what an embarrassing situation, huh doctor?" He said with his eyes closed. Su Ning was a little quiet, but then commented.
"Maybe it was better this way. There's something that's been troubling me since the first time I saw you here."

"Oh! Really?" Qiang Yong asked, still resting without opening his eyes. Then the doctor quickly went to him and immobilized his arms with one hand and his legs with his knees, unfastened his belt and opened his robe until he reached bare skin.
"Hey doctor! Take it easy!" He exclaimed in an amused tone, but his eyes suddenly darkened, remembering what he was trying hard to hide.

With his free hand, Su Ning touched a large star-shaped black spot that took over the dragon's left flank. He sighed with  irritation.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He retorted, letting go of the other's hands. Qiang Yong crossed his arms behind his head, showing calmness but his gaze was still penetrating.

"Why would I? This curse cannot be broken."
"Xing Ou Yang put it on, didn't he? I asked you back then if it was okay!" He picked up one of the pillows and threw it at the emperor's tanned abdomen with clear anger. He sat on the emperor's legs with a tired expression, but Qiang Yong could only see how attractive he looked in this position. Sitting on it, he felt his lower abdomen burn and harden.

"I have a way to remove it." Su Ning said finally.
"I should have seen that coming. You always have some dangerous method that always puts you at risk."
"This method has no risk whatsoever." The doctor said through gritted teeth. He raised his wrist and made a small cut on it with a controlled stroke of spiritual energy, made with the index finger of his other hand. "I just need for a brief time for us to share our energy."

"I don't know if this isn't really dangerous. What guarantees do you give me?"
"Just take the blood! This curse was sent to you, not me! That's the guarantee!" The doctor extended his wrist in front of Qiang Yong's mouth but it remained closed.
"How stubborn you are! Are you really not going to open it?"

The emperor shook his head. At first he just wanted to provoke the doctor and see him angry, although he was sure that removing a curse of this level was not an easy task.
"Difficult patients require extreme measures!" Su Ning muttered and sucked the blood from his wrist, stopping it soon after.
"What do you want now..." the emperor started to say, but Su Ning suddenly bent down and covered his mouth... with a kiss!
