Su Ning withdrew the hand tightly grasping the tumor in time to not lose it. As soon as the flames exploded, the qilin's super regeneration went into action, closing the cut region as if nothing had happened. Su Ning smiled victoriously, he had already expected this outcome. The very fire of the yao no longer connected to the tumor burned whatever trace was left of it.

Using celestial vision, Dong Lin's body was now purely composed of golden energy.
"Doctor!" An Shu grabbed him from behind in a panic. Su Ning patted his head with his free hand. "Calm down! Why are you so nervous? Everything went fine." He turned to Lang Ko. "He'll wake up in an incense stick's time. I think you can leave him to rest in his room. If I can check on him when he wakes up, I'd appreciate it."

With that said, Su Ning went to his briefcase and took out a vial to store the tumor.
He looked at the slightly burnt bloody mass in his hands and put it back in the jar. Then he gave it to the doctor.
"I think the doctor would like to look into this later."

The doctor's look was a mix of admiration and surprise, she took the bottle and then looked at the doctor's other hand. "Doctor! His hand was burned!"
The doctor didn't even bother to look. "It's just singed. I'll take care of it later."
Medical Board "......."
He started cleaning the blades. An shu held him by the shoulder.
"Nothing like that! Let's take care of it now."

Lang Ko agreed and directed them to be taken to a private room while she transferred Dong Lin to the room. An Shu dragged the doctor by his collar and as soon as they were alone in the room, he began to treat the burns with a plaster from his bag. His expression was sour and as expected, he delivered a lecture worthy of a mother.

"What do you mean, just scorched! That must have reached the deepest layer of your skin! You burned yourself with fire from a qilin! That must hurt like hell! I know this because I saw the work it took to block this fire! Master Su, you should ..."

He continued like this until he wrapped the entire hand with the bandage. Su Ning moved the fingers of his hand, at least they were still moving, a sign that the tendons were spared.
"Thank you An Shu, for helping with the surgery and taking care of my hand. But if next time you don't get more blood from me when you needed it, I'll leave you without meat dumplings for a month!"

An Shu felt as if the arrow had gone through his chest. No meat dumplings!!
"Master, you had already given so much blood to me and Feng Yin... and if you needed energy in the surgery..."
"I don't need that energy to operate." The doctor gave a playful wink. "Remember this from now on."

An Shu, Feng Yin and Su Ning were accommodated in one of the rooms in the Water Palace and no longer in a cell. After so much excitement, the flower fairy fell asleep like a child, encapsulating herself in a closed flower bud. This second fairy that Su Ming chose to help him produced Dream Flowers, which made both yao and humans have a restful sleep without nightmares. Now it was her turn to rest.

An Shu was also exhausted. He ate the food that was served to him, as they had missed lunch and returning to snake form, he snuggled into the cushions of the couch. Seeing his friend like this, Su Ning felt a wave of tenderness and covered him with a brocade blanket that was nearby. The snake woke up slightly, "Master, you should get some rest too."

Su Ning nodded. "I'm fine. Rest easy. Thank you again, An Shu."
The snake returned to its nap, with wavering thoughts. Dr. Su is always so good... it would be nice if I could take care of him that well...
Su Ning left soon after to see Dong Lin, who was in the next room. He found him already awake, sitting on the bed and drinking a light broth. Without the illness, his yao aura had increased considerably.

He wasn't used to suppressing it, but as soon as he saw the doctor, he remembered to try to minimize it.
"Hello,  Dr. Su. Lang Ko just left just now. You almost ran into each other."
"Okay. I still have to do a lot of explaining to Dr. Lang, there will be no shortage of opportunities. And you? Are your powers returning well?"

The doctor took his pulse. The patient returned well, ate and had no other symptoms. He mentally wrote down the information to write in his notebooks later. It's a shame that the tumor sample was left with Lang Ko, he wanted to know more about the formation of tumors in yao.

"Dr. Su... Can I call you Su Ning?"
"You can call me whatever you prefer."
"I'm sorry for your hand. How can I repay you?" Dong Lin asked with a veiled interest. Most humans worshiped him as a creature that brought fertility and prosperity, but with the power he had he could fulfill many other desires.

Su Ning was thoughtful. "This was a test by the Sect, it's not really like a consultation, so... you can't charge for the service. And what it comes to my hand... accidents happen, it will soon be fine." He concludes by clapping his cupped hands in front of him with an expression of extreme contentment.
Dong Lin "..... Well, that's not what I meant. I can do a lot of things for you..."

Su Ning's eyes formed two crescents and he interrupted the other:
"Well, well, it seems like I only do something hoping for something in return. Why do you always have to give something back? Can't we just keep it like that? Like a favor for a friend?"
Dong Lin's expression was serious, then he smiled broadly.

"If that's enough for you, a friendship, be sure to visit me later."
Su Ning nodded. They even talked a little, about trivial matters. It was good to see that the qilin's abilities returned quickly now that he was no longer suffering from the pain. Then Su Ning withdrew so he could rest a little longer.

The doctor returned to the room. An Shu and Feng Yin were sleeping soundly and the doctor preferred not to turn on the lights. Then he felt someone hitting specific points on his body with their fingertips. Someone paralyzed their entire body by blocking the acupuncture points!

His body softened and the person held him by the waist, laying him down carefully on the floor so as not to make any noise. Then he tied his wrists and ankles tightly. Su Ning remained calm even though he couldn't call for help or defend himself like that. This person waited for him to come out of surveillance to catch him, it could only be someone manipulated by the Empress's assassin.

He would still need to take it to the mastermind, what could he do? His body didn't respond but his mind did! He then tried to contact An Shu telepathically through the communication array.
"An Shu!"
The copper opened his eyes slowly, feeling something was wrong. Why was Su Ning using telepathy to talk to him?

Then he saw the figure carrying his immobilized master towards the window.
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!" He shouted, transforming into the form of a giant snake and lunged. The raptor immediately jumped, spreading two large brown wings and gliding through the air.

An Shu's scream caught the attention of those nearby and Qiang Yong, who was talking to Lang Ko to find out when Su Ning would be released, came running along with the doctor.
"What happened??"
"What's this shouting? This is a hospital!" Lang Ko immediately scolded.
The snake ignored her and continued to scream: "THEY JUST KIDNAPPED MY MASTER!!"
