The Yao Medical Sect was in a complete uproar the next day. In order for the doctor to prepare, Lang Ko decided to postpone the surgery, and also because he had some hope that Su Ning or Dong Lin would give up midway. The doctors couldn't believe that the human had volunteered to do such a risky procedure as a celestial beast!
The majority protested and only agreed to the situation if the qilin's operation was observed by a board of experts of the highest rank. In the end, no one wanted to risk a creature as important as a qilin dying in such a stupid way.
Now, the yao doctors were certain that Su Ning only wanted to show off out of pure pride and vanity. With great apprehension, the specialists sat on the benches prepared for them at a certain distance, so that they could take their own notes, around the operating room. These doctors were surprised by the announcement of the surgery and fought among themselves to be able to see it. Lang Ko was so upset by this that she decided to draw lots of doctors to avoid wasting any more time.
Excluding that fact, she also invited the Emperor to watch, realizing that perhaps he didn't hate the doctor that much. After all, he saved his mother's life and it was possible that because of that the doctor was now the killer's target as well. Lang Ko was surprised that one day she could see the Dragon Emperor care about a human. But she also never expected to see a human treat yao, so she thought she had seen everything in this world after these two events.
Dr. Su entered the operations room with the same indifferent and distant presence as when he was being interrogated. He had tied his hair into a bun, although some unruly strands of hair that were so straight insisted on coming loose, giving him even more of a casual appearance. An Shu was next to him and seemed more tense than usual. Accompanied by him was one of the flower fairies, dressed in a lilac muslin dress.
She flew euphorically, flapping her wings so fast and she couldn't stop buzzing in the doctor's ear.
"By Heaven! Dr. Su! How do you put up with this creature?? It's been more than one shichen that she's been talking nonstop!" Lang Ko couldn't bear the noise any longer."In a little while she will withdraw. Feng Yin is very energetic." Su Ning responded, placing his briefcase and the objects to be used in surgery on the nearby table.
Dong Lin was already lying on the table, also clearly anxious."Is everything okay, Dong Lin?" Su Ning appeared above him smiling softly. The qilin took a deep breath and nodded. He knew the difficulties of the operation and did not know how the doctor would overcome them. But strangely he trusted these people, in his calm and confident way. Furthermore, Lang Ko who had been taking care of him so diligently was there to provide support. He didn't regret taking a chance on them.
"We'll start now. See you in a bit." The doctor shook his head calmly and walked away. He gave some of his blood to Feng Yin before they went in to avoid more commotion among the doctors with this ancient technique, which even Lang Ko was unaware of. Upon seeing this, the doctor then peppered him with questions about what she called the properties of human blood.
After drinking some of the blood, Feng Yin became more agitated than before and therefore did not stop chatting. Su Ning was already ready, he put on his gloves and stopped the endless buzzing.
"Feng Yin, give me the flower, please."
The fairy jumped in the air towards him and opening her cupped hand made a bouquet of tiny blue flowers sprout and handed them obediently.Dr. Su took the flowers and rubbed them over Dong Lin's face, keeping a certain distance. The macerated petals gave off a certain sweet and gentle fragrance. And without realizing it, Dong Lin fell into a world of dreams, where he walked peacefully in the gardens where he lived. A qilin was a mystical creature and it was difficult to control. Even under this spell he was still conscious of it and knew it was a dream, a creation made from memories of him.
