Qiang Yong opened his eyes wide, until this point he had just been listening. The issue of the implanted cultivator came as a surprise to him, however he did not let his daze show. What he felt now was great irritation. How far would this man go to harm yao? How far would this hatred go? And most importantly, he was threatening Su Ning right now??? (This fact had greater weight, by the way. 😅)

He was lost in these thoughts and only came to his senses when Ce Rang spoke again.
"This speech of yours about harmonious coexistence disgusts me! You've always never really cared about humans, living in the shadow of the yao, depending on their help since you were little, a brat when you arrived at the Sect, under the wing of that bird. Until Even today, how could you face me face to face without even having a sword? You would be killed in the blink of an eye." He laughed mockingly.

"The way you are, I bet you thanked the Heavens for being able to get rid of your sword. And now you have to come with a dragon in tow just to have someone to fight for you, since the most you can do is defend yourself pathetically!”
Qiang Yong gritted his teeth. He squeezed his hands tightly and the veins on his arms and neck stood out.

But Ce Rang's words didn't hurt Su Ning. He would hardly be angered by something so low on this level.
"Why don't you try to face me then?" He challenged him gently, although deep down the doctor was aware that fighting without a weapon against an experienced cultivator like Ce Rang, especially one who had the same skills as him, would be painful. However, it was not impossible.

Then Qiang Yong took a step forward. He was fed up with Su Ning being insulted by Ce Rang. The doctor hurried to say something, this was his problem, but the emperor stopped him by raising his hand and stepped forward, facing Ce Rang.
"I didn't come to fight for him, although I would gladly do so." He smiled slowly, turning to the doctor.

"I came to fight with him, it's different. Dr. Su treated both yao and humans, he never made any distinction between them. If today he has so many people available to help him, it's because of this, even the most weak humans would come and fight if he asked them to. It turns out that, unlike you, Ce Rang, Su Ning is no longer alone. He doesn't have to fight you alone, he has friends and people who care about him." (Cry).

Qiang Yong's face was serious and his gaze was firm. Su Ning's eyes were wide with surprise and he had a more dazed expression than when he met Qiang Yong just now. Before he was calm, even with the absurdities said by Ce Rang, however now his heart was beating wildly, as if it were going to jump out of his chest.

His legs felt strangely soft and weak. He couldn't distinguish this feeling, perhaps because every time there was an action or speech by the Emperor, his thoughts became clouded and sweat ran down his temples.
"And who said he doesn't have a weapon to fight you?" Qiang Yong returned behind him, summoning his sword. The heavy weapon emerged from its scabbard with a metallic glow, its dark shine standing out in the afternoon sun.

Now Su Ning could notice the golden details of the sword, with dragon motifs worked into the scabbard. However, he had no way to handle it, spiritual weapons adapted to the user's body and strength. Obviously, this weapon was completely shaped for Qiang Yong and Qiang Yong had much more physical strength than him. The emperor handed him the sword by the hilt, offering it. Su Ning looked at him a little embarrassed.

"Qiang Yong... I have no way of using someone else's spiritual weapon. It's not compatible." Su Ning explained and he also couldn't accept Qiang Yong facing Ce Rang for him. Even if the dragon's victory was certain, he could be injured because Ce Rang was treacherous and would be too offensive after the words spoken by the Sect leader earlier.

Qiang Yong took a few steps towards the doctor and then gently placed the handle in Su Ning's hand, however, he kept his hand over the doctor's cold hand. It was that thin hand that he already felt touched and held between his, he knew there were still calluses acquired from hard fencing training.

He lowered his head and whispered quietly into Su Ning's ear, so that no one else would hear except that person:
"There are some exceptions, D. Su." He clicked his tongue when he said his name. "You and I are one now. Like I said, you're not alone anymore, what's mine is yours, my soul, my heart, my body and everything else."

"But... I haven't even given you an answer yet..." Su Ning couldn't help but gasp, he was getting into the bad habit of holding his breath whenever Qiang Yong got so close to him. It was as if he was waiting something of the dragon and the anticipation paralyzed his bodily functions.
"No matter what it is, my answer will never change." Qiang Yong said, feeling the other shudder at his hot breath next to his smooth, white neck.

The dragon was very pleased with Su Ning's new reactions to her presence. He didn't push it away and still seemed very sensitive to contact. With a smile that only Qiang Yong could explain, he took the form of a small dragon, able to wrap itself around Su Ning's wrist. The doctor was still a little confused, so he tried to wield the sword.

He thought that due to its size it would be very heavy, but in his hand it transformed, taking on the shape of the sword he used to carry when he was a cultivator. It became lighter, adapting to the hands that lifted it and acquired a faint bluish glow, pure and stable. Not only did the sword change, he also noticed the interference in its core.

It was the dragon's energy, which was  accumulated in his body and rose to his chest, circulating around the damaged core. His chest felt warm and he felt again as if something lost was coming back to him. In the past, he gave part of his soul to Qiang Yong, today it could no longer return to him, but its owner could give it to him whenever and however much he wanted.

The energy fused into his core, merging with him, and finally Su Ning felt like he could use the weapon. A weapon created from his and the Dragon Emperor's energy.
He tested the weapon, slashing it toward the ground. The curved cut in the air was as if a dense damp mist spread around, with the water droplets condensing and glistening in the afternoon light entering the Palace.
"Are you satisfied now?" He asked Ce Rang. And he pointed the sword at him.

Author's Note

What a cute moment, Qiang Yong didn't even marry Su Ning, but apparently he already considers it a total community of property 😅.
