After the announcement of An Shu and Ren Loo's marriage, the dragon clan held a few more rounds of wine at Zhi Lu's party. An Shu was so happy that he ate not two but three bowls of pork. However, it was not enough for him to alleviate his drunkenness. Ren Loo was also shamelessly snoring after getting drunk all night.

Laughing, the Empress Dowager shook her head and commented to Zhi Lu. "I didn't know these two were also a drinking pair. In the future I will make sure to restrict them more."
"I do not see any problems." The human emperor also laughed. "After all, it's a party, we have a lot to celebrate."
"Yes! And this celebration will last. We will have two weddings!"

"Is that so, Madam Empress?" Zhi Lu stared at her in amazement.
"The red line of fate is also already joining Qiang Yong and his date. But that's still a secret." She smiled, reveling in every word.
"I wish the emperor all the best, may he and his companion be very happy."
Carrying a drunken An Shu, Su Ning passed by to see them off.

Zhi Lu was impressed, the doctor was strong even for drinks. Su Ning had no choice and was dragged to drink, having to consume a few rounds of the strong alcoholic drink. Even so, he was able to walk very well and even support his semi-conscious colleague.
"I think An Shu overdid it a bit. I'll take him to the clinic. Emperor Zhi and Empress Qiang, have a good night."

Emperor Zhi nodded.
"See you later, Dr. Su."
The Empress beckoned him with some cryptic words of a brief and happy future meeting. Su Ning opened a portal to the clinic. He suspected that both the Empress and Ren Loo knew something. How far did Qiang Yong talk about them?

Su Ning walked through the door, looking back. He had a slight glimpse of the dragon trying to wake Ren Loo up. He wouldn't have said they slept together, would he? Su Ning shook his head. Of course he wouldn't say something so intimate!
An Shu was babbling and laughing on his shoulder as he helped him go to his room. Su Ning crossed the corridor surrounding the lake and kicked the bedroom door lightly. Then he felt a strong blow to the back of his head and he fell to the ground unconscious.

Su Ning slowly woke up, feeling the back of his neck burning and his head spinning. Because of the wine and the blow, his head felt heavy and hurt.
"Well, well, are you awake yet?" He heard someone addressing him. He looked around and found An Shu still unconscious, with his wrists and ankles also tied to his side. With his eyes watering in pain he turned his head and saw Ce Rang.

It was unnecessary to ask how he got into the clinic. Any injured person could enter, regardless of whether they were friend or foe. Sometimes his excess of kindness was stupid, he ended up concluding bitterly.
"So what? Aren't you going to say anything?"
"I have nothing to tell you. What do you want to hear?"
Ce Rang looked disappointed.

“I thought you would try to move me or guide me back to the path of dao.”
"If you, who spent so much time in the sect, strayed from it, who am I to be able to get you back?" Su Ning furrowed his eyebrows uneasily. He remembered to ask for help but his communication matrix wasn't working. Ce Rang must have blocked the area.

"You took everything from me. I have the right to take your life too!" In a fit of rage he punched the doctor hard in the face, knocking him down. Su Ning coughed, tasting blood in his mouth.
"Are you justifying yourself? There's no need for that."
Ce Rang pulled him by the collar. "You always considered me a scoundrel inferior to you!"

"No! I consider him irrational and uncompromising! And I disapprove of the way he is destroying the Sect, leading people behind rapid and ephemeral cultivation!"
Ce Rang kicked him in the chest, causing him to fall backwards. This time the doctor spat out blood. His meridians were blocked while he was unconscious and he had no way to even recover from these injuries.

He panted, sucking in air.
"Let him!" An Shu shouted, he had just woken up and saw his master being mercilessly beaten. Ce Rang, with his sword once again recovered and drawn, walked dangerously towards him.

"Ce Rang, leave him alone! He didn't do anything to you!" Su Ning was alarmed. The cultivator laughed. "I beat you, I humiliate you, I threaten to kill you but you only panic when I attack these filthy yao!"

He raised his sword as if he was going to decapitate him, but Su Ning gathered all the strength he had and, supporting himself with his shoulder, managed to get up. He then ran until he crashed into the cultivator, pushing him away.

"Hurry! Get out of here!" He shouted at the snake.
"I'll bring help!" An Shu turned into a small snake still firmly held by the ropes, as his powers were also blocked and the most he could do was crawl as fast as he could.

If he managed to get out of the area blocked by Ce Rang, there would be a chance to try and make contact with the emperor. Therefore, An Shu tried his best to leave the clinic using the shortcuts he knew, trying to free himself from the restraints that made it difficult for his muscles to move. He lost sight of An Shu.

Ce Rang stood up irritably. "What can't you do for a yao!" He dusted off his robes, staring at the fallen doctor coldly. "In any case, there won't be any point in him running away. When he gets help it will be too late."

Ce Rang formed several fireballs and threw them against the roof of the clinic rooms, on the wooden pillars, on the grass in the garden and on the trees. Su Ning felt his heart sink, it took him so long to build this!

"It was an ice snake, right? Can it handle this heat until it gets out of here?" Ce Rang laughed. Su Ning's heart sank. What if An Shu couldn't escape? The fire used by cultivators was harmful to the yao! Ce Rang turned to the doctor. "As for you, I won't leave a single chance of escape!" He walked towards him and with the sword pierced his chest.

Su Ning choked on the pain but did not say a word.
"I didn't hit the heart directly so you will suffer a lot from the pain of the burns and the loss of blood! But now even if they come to help, you will no longer have a chance of surviving."
He jumped towards the wall.
"Goodbye, Su Ning." And he disappeared into the night.
