"I request that you withdraw from the imperial capital." Su Ning asked, giving the cultivator one last chance. It was as if he went back to many years ago, even without training, it was as if he had never stopped using a sword.
“Well, then…” Ce Rang laughed mockingly. "I want to see if you can get me out using someone else's sword!"

Ce Rang maintained his firm stance, arrogant and unshakable. Even if Su Ning got a sword, it wasn't his and that made it very difficult for him to handle, he concluded. However, he didn't know that the doctor and the emperor shared the same energy a long time ago (Not in the way you are thinking 😚). The fragment that Su Ning used on the dragon was completely absorbed by his spiritual body and he had adapted to the doctor's energy pattern.

That way they were automatically compatible. Qiang Yong gently rubbed himself against the doctor's wrist. He was happy that this energy belonged to him now, the emperor no longer saw his healing as help from a stranger, but rather as a gift. A gift from the person he loved.

Su Ning firmly held the hilt of the sword, it was so light that it felt like he wasn't holding anything. He tried to hear the name of the sword, as if it was written in his heart, he said it in a low voice, like a whisper. The sword with the energy of the two took on a new name, hǎi xīn [1].
With Qiang Yong trapped in his hand and wrist, he felt almost as if the dragon was behind him, helping him hold her.

He could also feel the fluid dragon energy within him from the merged core. Now he understood what the emperor meant before, that they were one, and his cheeks immediately flushed. This is no time to think about that! He almost shook his head hard to clear away his thoughts. He needed to focus and manage this new energy that swirled around his core so gently, almost like the caresses he had felt.

Ce Rang wouldn't wait for him to adapt to the new weapon. He soon struck a blow and the two swords clashed with a loud bang, making even the pillars of the palace tremble. Small rocks and sand fell from the ceiling.

Qiang Yong let out a low "Tsk". This Ce Rang is so classless! He thought. From where he was, he stopped to analyze the situation from the sword's perspective. Su Ning received the blow well, his swordsmanship remained impeccable even after being retired for so many years.

He certainly graduated well in his youth. Before Ce Rang retreated to attack again, Su Ning charged forward. Thanks to the lightness of the weapon he was used to, he could hold the sword with one hand, while blocking Ce Rang's sneak attacks with the other. Dissatisfied with the other's unexpected skill in carrying this sword, Ce Rang conjured an array to try to hit Su Ning in addition to attacks with his own sword.

Ce Rang's blows concentrated energy in a very brutal way, trying to immobilize the enemy the first time. His energy associated with metal made him have a robust weapon, being cut by it would cause considerable damage.

But Su Ning's attack was premeditated, he had no intention of seriously injuring the other, and the sword rippled in the air as if it were a wave of water, the fine energy that was dissipated by itself, spreading like splashes of water. It seemed fragile and tenuous, but it was just the facade.

They fought in that small space in the room, so fast that it was impossible to follow just by looking. Ren Loo and other yao had successfully managed to capture the cultivators and only now arrived at this location.

They peeked from one of the doors at the two cultivators confronting each other. At this point, the furniture in the room had been almost entirely destroyed and the walls and columns were marked by the energy delivered by the sword strikes.

"By Buddha!" An Shu exclaimed in surprise. He had never witnessed Su Ning fighting and this sight was truly terrifying. As for Ren Loo, seeing now what the doctor's abilities as a cultivator truly were, she was very happy that he chose to medicate. A skilled cultivator like that would be a big problem. For Qiang Yong, everything could only be summed up in one word: beautiful.

He stopped watching the sword to just admire that other version of Su Ning. As if time slowed down, he watched the doctor's long hair blowing in the wind. His calm and impassive face, concentrated, a polished jade stone, framed by bluish black strands. His fluid movements, casting his spiritual energy around like the salty mist of the rough sea, splashing everywhere as if waves collided with force.

Ce Rang was quickly hit by this energy, he felt as if these drops were needles, coming at him from all directions. And hot needles! Even though Su Ning had an affinity for water, now his energy it was mixed with Qiang Yong's. The dragon's fire energy had joined with water and the result looked more like a sea of fire than the calm sea he once had.

The very blue and violet tone of Su Ning's core was enveloped by that red aura from QiangYong, turning such a dark and deep purple that he had to try to contain it so as not to overdo it too much in strength. His spiritual sea became a great boiling sea. Qiang Yong's energy only restored the doctor's core temporarily.

This could only be possible as long as they could share qi and even then Qiang Yong would need to be around. It was a partial solution that the dragon found in his research  but at least it would solve many problems. Perhaps one day he could restore Su Ning's core completely. Qiang Yong at this moment could only watch the spectacle.

He was glad that Su Ning was not his enemy, he would be a scourge. The fluid attacks and blows were much more effective in wearing down the opponent, who was already down thanks to his own more brutish and impulsive style. But Su Ning hadn't even broken a sweat. He was carried away by his unpredictable style, just like his dancing. It was elegant and light, as if it could flow on the tide.

The only difference was the dragon energy, which made this tide so strong and difficult to tame. Everything else, all this ruthless technique could only be from Tung Shiu's disciple. Despite being fierce, the fight only lasted the time of burning an incense stick and Su Ning had already gained an advantage and cornered Ce Rang. Su Ning raised his sword and struck as if all the strength and weight of a wave descended together. The impact was so strong that Ce Rang's sword broke.
"You are not worthy of leading the Sect." Su Ning said, his gaze as cold as the waves of his spiritual sea.

Author's Note

How beautiful, for me the two are already officially married, even the sword already has a new name for both of them 🥰.
