The Empress took a while to recover from her disappointment. Like the others, she dodged the webs by lowering herself to the ground.
Once the danger had passed, she stood up solemnly and with resolute steps went to the doctor.
"Dr. Su, are you injured?" She questioned him seriously. Everyone there could admit that the Empress was a very dignified queen and her posture was admirable in the face of that crisis.

"Hmm, no." The doctor replied.
"Great! Then I have a few words to say to you." Qiang Ling then said with a dark expression.
Su Ning nodded, confused. The queen gave him a light blow on the forehead. "Doctor! How can you be so reckless!? What if Hu Long had managed to kill you in these three days?? Do you know that she is one of the strongest servants I have??? Don't you ever dare to do something like that again! Ah! You and Yong-er are the same! (Scolding continues)..."
Su Ning "......"
Ah Shu "................."
Others".........................."

"Anyway, I, I..." The Empress suddenly hugged him and spoke in a choked voice: "Thank you very much."
The Dr. Su felt his heart warm. It was so good to see a patient well and now he felt like he had a good friend too. Deep down, he sometimes felt a little lonely. As if there was an inexplicable emptiness in his chest.

"I need to go now. There must be other patients waiting for me." Su Ning smiled and shook his head in a placating tone.
"You should rest for at least a few days! This situation must have been so stressful! How about staying here for a while longer?" The Empress gave her best smile trying to convince him, but she got no results. The doctor was determined to return to the clinic.

She sighed helplessly. There was no way to force him to stay. Furthermore, she was certain that many people really needed it. Someone like that was sorely missed in the world.
"At least wait for Yong-er to come back and give you the reward."
“Uh, about that…” Su Ning took out his little blue notebook from his sleeve and scribbled in it for a brief while.

"The total for the consultation, medication and treatment for three days is 13 copper coins. I deducted the medication since I used herbs from your garden. You can pay later, when you can." Su Ning responded practically.
The Empress stared at him in astonishment. The servants let out a muffled pffffff behind her and Dr. Han Chia closed his eyes, turning his face away and acting as if he didn't understand.

"Haha, you're joking, no doctor..." The Empress suddenly laughed.
"Not really. The price is fixed. I did the calculations in my head but you can check, I have the values here..."
"Doctor! My son promised 30 gold coins to whoever could cure me!"
"Health is priceless, Your Majesty. That's why I charge the minimum amount possible to buy herbs and other medical utensils. What would I do with so much gold anyway? It would only serve to attract thieves."
Empress "..........."

"Good, now I really need to go. An Shu, draw the matrix, please."
The doctor turned to the Empress. "It was very nice to have met you, despite the unfortunate circumstances. I hope you continue to be well and that we can meet again without it being due to illness."
"But of course! I haven't beaten him at go yet! We'll still have plenty of opportunities!" Qiang Ling laughed jovially.

"And thank you for showing me your books, for introducing your girls... See you one of these days then, Empress. Send my regards to the Emperor." The Doctor. Su Ning said goodbye with a bow. An Shu repeated the gesture and also followed him, leaving through the matrix he had drawn on one of the doors.

The Empress reached out and collected the matrix drawing for herself, keeping the sigil pattern. It was the door that led to the doctor's clinic, so she could easily visit him in the future. She kept it with affection close to her chest.
"What a shame he's gone. Although he can be scary when he's serious." Xiao Zhong said as he approached timidly. She was afraid that the Empress would change her ways with them after Hu Long's betrayal. The Empress stroked his head, agreeing.
