Qiang Yong crouched down in front of the doctor's unconscious body. The snow fell softly,  slowly beginning to cover him. Without hesitation, the Emperor removed his outer robe and used it to wrap Su Ning around and warm him. His body was so cold that he felt great fear, but when he saw that a light warm breath was still coming from his parted lips, he relaxed a little.

The young face began to return to the familiar appearance he knew, of a fully formed adult. He had to admit that at every age Su Ning was beautiful. As a child, it was already possible to recognize in his childish features the delicacy and uniqueness of his features in the future, in addition to those large and tender eyes.

At the end of his adolescence, despite all the trials he went through and the constant weight of responsibility on his shoulders, there was that youthful bloom and freshness that accompanied him, especially in the way he carelessly tied up his hair, leaving some strands loose. And as an adult, his features were already solidified like a polished jade, he no longer even bothered to tie up his hair, letting those dark, bluish strands like the ocean frame his pale, satiny skin.

Qiang Yong held him, to carry him back to the surface, but in a sudden impulse as he watched that subtly changing face, he lowered his face and kissed his lips gently. He felt an absurd fear that he would end up breaking this person if he were more sudden, but that momentum was uncontrollable and became a voracious invasion. Su Ning panted a little unconsciously from holding his breath for so long.

The heart in the dragon's chest couldn't stop beating frantically and its breathing became chaotic. He tested the warm, wet interior of the other's mouth with his tongue, tasting the sweetness he craved. So, slowly, it was better than the spring dream he had had when he first met him. One of his free hands slowly went down his thin, toned waist, but when he felt his body temperature drop, he remembered that he couldn't waste any more time.

He backed away and hugging him tightly, he jumped onto the crater walls using his qinggong. Before long, he reached the surface of the courtyard. He felt every inch of his skin burn. Ren Loo stared at his brother's disordered expression and couldn't help but smile. Qiang Yong immediately looked away at the half-destroyed courtyard.

"Tomorrow, I'll ask to bury this crater. For now, I'll call Dr. Han Chia to evaluate everyone." He marched into the residence with stiff steps. Huang Jia and An Shu were also on guard. At first they saw the charm of the fog and offered to go in together, however the two dragons convinced them to stay out and protect the Empress's safety.

An Shu was quite upset by Su Ning's condition and it was difficult to calm him down. Qian Young carefully laid the doctor on the bed in one of the guest rooms while Ren Long explained the situation to the snake. Shortly after, Hu Long announced the arrival of the fox doctor. The two members of the Ren family had a broken rib and Madam Ren still had some light bruises that were already regenerating on their own.

Qiang Yong  refused assistance,  claiming he was already well. He rushed the doctor to see Su Ning. Dr. Han Chia took his pulse and shook his head in displeasure. After all, humans had no way to regenerate. Su Ning was suffering from internal bleeding and hypothermia. Relying only on the qi necessary for the body to function, he was unable to control the deficiency of blood and heat.

Then the fox quickly sprung into action, applying his acupuncture needles. Qiang Yong ran to ask the servants for new clothes and blankets for Su Ning, as well as a foot warmer. They quickly managed to normalize the temperature and bleeding, but in the end Dr. Su was still under remnants of the memory enchantment and one of the side effects was that even though he had returned to his current form, he would be tormented by nightmares arising from the memories.

A bad person usually left bad memories hidden for a long time, until they became so distant that they could no longer hurt them. And with Su Ning it was no different, but with the aggravating factor that part of them had been seriously damaged by himself. So the memory curse instead of being a stab was like poking an already closed wound for him and his mind was a chaos of relived painful memories.

Su Ning was moaning softly, his elegant eyebrows tightly furrowed. Sometimes he called for his parents, other times his expression seemed very unhappy. He looked very fragile and pitiful at these moments. Ren Loo had dragged An Shu with him, convincing him to rest to be of some help when the doctor recovered.

Han Chia after completing his service also went to his quarters after a long night of hard work to stabilize Su Ning. Qiang Yong went to his room then, after there was no one else, he returned to see the doctor. Su Ning was biting his lips in distress, as if he was enduring great pain. The dragon didn't know if it was physical pain or some memory that was disturbing him.

He remembered that Han Chia had also given him painkillers, so it could only be the second option. He held the bedridden doctor's hand and caressed it, lingering on the long, slender fingers. He called him close to his ear, trying to wake him from this bad dream. To his surprise, Su Ning opened his eyes, but his gaze was blurry, as if he really couldn't see.

“Su Ning… what is tormenting you?”
The doctor did not respond, remaining with that distant look. A tear slowly ran down his face and he moaned softly again.
Qiang Yong held his hand firmly. "I'm here, can you hear me? Please hear me..."
The doctor's cloudy eyes narrowed and slowly closed.

His consciousness fluctuated. He thought he heard someone calling him. But he was alone... There was no one else to be with him in this world. Why did he have to continue to live? His family was gone, his Shifu and his shixiong were also dead. His mind was filled with pain and loneliness. I wanna die!

Then that voice called him softly. I am here. There was someone waiting for him. But who? He couldn't remember. Su Ning...
Little by little the doctor's expression softened and his dreams began to dissipate. Seeing the human's chest rise and fall without hindrance and his serene countenance recovered, Qiang Yong breathed a sigh of relief.

However, he came to a conclusion at the end of it. He would like to know more about the doctor's past. Clarify certain points that are still unclear. But he would have to do it without having to question him. The memories of the past were too painful to stir up again. He was willing to investigate on his own.

And he would do this by going to the Cultivation Sect when the doctor was completely in the mood, without him knowing it. Qiang Yong leaned next to Su Ning, admiring his sleeping face. He had waited so long to meet this person... he could bear the anxiety of having him for himself a little longer.
With these thoughts, Qiang Yong fell asleep next to Su Ning's bed smiling broadly.

Author's Note

What a shame... I thought they would resolve themselves, but there are still a lot of knots in this mess... after all, Su Ning never looked for Qiang Yong and didn't even say that he knew him, he couldn't have just forgotten him, right? Who would forget a man like that hahaha?
