Su Ning was standing before one of the hills surrounding the Imperial City. Motionless, like this, with the wind blowing his hair and sleeves, he seemed like a deity of the air, scanning the high walls with his gaze. Seeing him like this made Qiang Yong remember when he saw him on that fateful day, at the exit of the cave. His heart even jumped when he remembered the scene.

This was not the young doctor from before. He was a serious, mature grown man now. Inexperienced in some things, quite professional in others. The emperor wanted to hug him but with others nearby, he rethought his actions and decided not to expose him. Creating embarrassment could count points against him and perhaps Su Ning wasn't the type who liked to show affection in public.

However,  when the doctor turned around, his cheeks were a little reddened by the cold wind that was blowing and Qiang Yong couldn't resist the urge to touch them. He grabbed his face with both hands and made the doctor look directly at him.
"Why didn't you look for me first?! You already ran straight here and didn't even think about me!" He then made it sound more like scolding just to take advantage of the situation, although it sounded more like a hurt lover.

Su Ning didn't pay attention to the others, after a few hours without seeing the dragon, facing that pair of intense dark eyes was a shock. The hot hands pressed to his cheeks burned against his cold skin.
"Hu... I..., actually this isn't a problem that directly involves you, so..."
"It's wrong! Everything involving you directly affects me!"

Su Ning ".................." (Poppies are less red than him at this moment).
"Hmm..." The doctor cleared his throat. "In that case, forgive me."
Qiang Yong "............." Did I hear you right? Or have I made any progress??
Qiang Yong's heart was elated. Not only was the doctor reacting to him, he didn't disagree with what he was saying. He was finally reaping the fruits of his planting!

"Good." Qiang Yong released him. He saw that the Inperial city was protected by a spiritual barrier. It wasn't like Su Ning's rainbow barrier, which although strong was not that oppressive. It possessed a strongly charged and aggressive aura. The dragon could open a hole in it and allow his army to enter.

Therefore, it was just a matter of annihilating the cultivators and negotiating the emperor's life with Ce Rang. For him it was very simple, but now he was supporting Su Ning and probably the doctor wanted to have as few deaths as possible. So he was willing to do whatever the doctor thought was best.
Su Ning saw Huang Jia,  Ren Loo, some yao from the dragon army, and even Empress Dowager came!

He looked at her in surprise. The Empress was smiling from ear to ear.
"Hello doctor! I'm glad you waited for us. Ah! You're scared that even I came, aren't you? In fact, I'm from the air clan, my family has very useful techniques and when my husband was alive I participated in many battles!" But I was a bit rusty, this time I decided to come and no one could say anything."

She shot a sharp look at the emperor and he just lowered his head. Obviously the arrival of the Dowager Empress had already been the subject of discussion and she emerged the absolute winner of this dispute, proof of this was that she was right there, at the doctor's disposal. Knowing the temperament of dragons, not even Su Ning dared to contest this situation.

The doctor relaxed, of course he would respect her wishes above all else, just like the others did. (Dr. Su is the best son-in-law a mother-in-law would wish to have).
"It's good to see you so willing."
The Empress nodded with satisfaction and pride. This was the only way to be sure that Ren Loo was her daughter. The two were now very similar. She wore simpler clothes, while Ren Loo is wearing his war clothes with red details, with arm protectors and everything else in black, but without the helmet. Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail and she seemed to emanate a willful aura.

Qiang Yong didn't think it would be a difficult battle, seeing the cultivators of yesteryear, they had fallen a lot in cultivation. So he came in his usual clothes, but he knew his sister loved to make an impact. At this point, she had already approached An Shu asking if he liked the battle costumes or if he preferred the exquisite lady's clothes.

The snake had inevitably already been attracted to that woman and it was difficult to decide. Then he responded with lowered eyes, full of shyness.
"Madame Ren is magnificent, how could any outfit look bad on her?"
Ren Loo blinked a few times, his long eyelashes fluttered softly over his round, golden eyes. For the first time she felt embarrassed and blushed.

"Hmm... I think you're right..., hehe, you'd look great in armor, silver yes, maybe I'll get you one!"
The Empress realized that it wasn't just her eldest son who was lost in love. She was more than happy to see you that they were both progressing. Blessed time I got sick! I managed to gain insight into the lives of these four loners all at once!

Su Ning, after seeing how much help Qiang Yong brought with him (a generous contribution, by the way) and having greeted Huang Jia, he turned to explain his  planning.
"The emperor has an escape route, an underground path, that brought him here through that cave." He pointed to the small opening hidden among the dense vegetation.

"How do you know that?" Qiang Yong  questioned.
"I... I instructed him to make an escape route in secret, in case something like this happened." Su Ning said a little embarrassed. He remembered that  his relationship with Zhi Lu was very discreet and he himself preferred to keep it under the shadows. Qiang Yong didn't look very satisfied

"Then he would have to have already arrived or been captured." Ren Loo concluded.
"There is also Ce Han's barrier, it even goes through rocks." Su Ning explained. "I believe he is being prevented from overtaking it, so the idea was to follow the path of the escape route until he reaches it. However, once the barrier is broken, Ce Rang will know our location."

Qiang Yong mused. "Then it would be good for someone to escort the emperor out and protect him while we take advantage of this path to face Ce Rang head on. If we are quick, we can reach the center of the city before he surrounds us underground."
"Sounds reasonable." Ren Loo muttered. "Who volunteers to protect the emperor?"

The Dowager Empress smiled. "I can do this. I guarantee he'll be safe. Like I said, I'm a little rusty but I can handle it just fine."
Everyone agreed. In fact, it was good that the Empress offered herself, they were afraid that she was not very used to this type of confrontation although no one doubted her capabilities.

Air dragons had elegant and strong techniques, they were also agile and flexible. However, they had very low resistance.
As for the members who would enter through the tunnel, they formed a small entourage, to be faster when breaking the barrier. The Yao army was then divided into four factions, which would then invade the imperial city. Their orders were not to kill cultivators unless there was no other choice, which Qiang Yong highly doubted. With that, they set off through the tunnel.

Qiang Ling, seeing that he managed to marry off his two sons and find two bachelors, was convinced: "I'm going to specialize as a matchmaker!"
