"GET YOUR PAWS OFF MY NEPHEW!!!" Suddenly Qiang Yong's claws grabbed the wolf's head and threw it against the ground, forming a large hole.

Ren Shyu smiled in satisfaction. As soon as he found the cabin and analyzed the situation, he realized that he would not be able to deal with the alpha wolf and notified his uncle in the communication matrix, explaining what happened at the clinic and providing the whereabouts of the thieves. The emperor was not at the fortress at the time but came as quickly as possible to meet him.

Knowing that his uncle was on the way, Ren Shyu did his best to buy time and tire the wolf. He was more than satisfied with this final outcome. "Thanks Uncle!"
Qiang Yong couldn't help but be proud of his nephew and ruffled their hair.
"You have become very capable! You remind me a lot of your father!"
The dragon turned red up to his ears and went to show where he placed the other wolves.

Qiang Yong was even more surprised to see that his nephew defeated three thieves, but when Ren Shyu explained how he managed to catch them, the emperor couldn't help but laugh in his sleeve. Apparently the presence of Su Ning and An Shu was being very beneficial for the young man. Ren Loo wouldn't have used his head so well in a situation like this. The emperor placed his hand on the dragon's shoulder and said with shining eyes, "I am very proud of you."

Ren Shyu lowered his head shyly. He was still feeling insecure and sad in his heart despite everything. They counted the clinic, with the prisoners and the stolen cargo.

The bird yao was recovering well and the other three survivors thanked the dragons and the medical team who saved their companion's life with exaggerated bows. Faced with a clan like this (how cute, Su Ning and An Shu are already included as family members in public opinion 🤭), the yao felt truly protected.

Ren Loo, who missed all the fun because she woke up late, was sad because her son didn't call her.
"Eh? You were so sleepy in the morning that I thought you hadn't woken up yet!" The young dragon retorted. Ren Loo had not been feeling well lately, she was nauseous and tired, so Ren Shyu recommended that she see Su Ning later, advice which she readily complied with.

Everyone was happy with this ending and while the birds were recovering, Qiang Yong left to decide what to do with the thieves. Ren Shyu received many congratulations from Han Chia and An Shu. Neither of them brought up the subject of his discomfort that morning. The dragon received greetings modestly and then went to the garden, where he sat alone to rest.

His spirit seemed to be coming out of his mouth. Seeing him like this, Su Ning prepared tea and brought it to him. He hadn't forgotten his failure to vomit after seeing so much blood. "Being a doctor is so hard..." The dragon moaned weakly at the doctor.
"Here, drink some of this tea." Su Ning handed him the cup.
The dragon took a long drink and felt refreshed.
"But this experience was really good! I learned so many things today!"

Su Ning smiled, drinking as well.
"What's worrying you so much?" He asked, sizing up the little dragon. Ren Shyu choked on his tea.
"Worried, me? What makes you think that?"
"You seem depressed and full-headed, even after helping so much today." Su Ning responded with  conviction.

Ren Shyu lowered his head, sad.
"I... wanted to be useful for something."
Su Ning frowned. “Who said you are not useful?”

"I thought... uncle got married and will have a son one day. And what am I going to do with my life then, you know? I thought then that it would be good if I knew something good and useful, besides fighting and fencing, that's Of course. This way I can still be someone close and trustworthy in the future."

Su Ning "............."
"Qiang Yong have a son? How?"
"I saw him and you with Huang Jia's daughter and he commented..."
Su Ning made a pause gesture, his face blank.

He warned Qiang Yong not to talk nonsense in front of the children.
"I already understand everything."
Ren Shyu wiped his red eyes. So it was like that. There was no future for him there.

"First of all, there's no way Qiang Yong and I can have a child. Not even with the gender change potion. It can't last as long as a pregnancy." Su Ning declared emphatically.
Ren Shyu "................."

"And secondly, we do not intend to adopt a child. We are fine as we are and I even suggested yes, taking in and keeping some orphans, but not as our heirs. Qiang Yong chose you as his successor, not because you have the same blood, but because you have the qualities that make you the most suitable candidate.”

"This is very clear to us. See how correct you were today, you acted with a cool head, without arrogance, you knew how to evaluate the enemy and ask for help when needed. I don't see a better successor for Qiang Yong." Su Ning declared.

Ren Shyu finally raised his head, despite the tears flowing profusely. Su Ning laughed and shook his head.

"You're identical to your uncle. Even in vinegar."
"Thank you Dr. Su...when you were a child I promised to tell you something...you are an excellent doctor, but you are also the best human I know." He said wiping away his tears. Su Ning smiled.
"I have something to tell you too. I hope you know how to control all that vinegar this time."

"Uh...what is it?" Ren Shyu looked at him in a daze.
"Your mother is pregnant." Su Ning laughed.
Ren Shyu "............"
"KYAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

Author's Note:

Hehehe, Dr. Su thought it was best to tell Ren Shyu first,  as he thought it would be difficult for him to no longer be an only child and receive all their attention. What a careful uncle and brother-in-law 🥰, mediating the relationship between mother and son.

But the little dragon understood, he was just surprised and worried because his mother had a terrible way with children (Shyu-er was practically taken care of by her grandmother 😅).

After that, Su Ning and Ren Shyu went to tell the family the good news. Think about the commotion that was lol.
