After that victory, and after some music playing with Landon, MG and Kaleb, Eli decides to visit Alaric Saltzmen.
"Well that was one helluva night. I trust you'll sleep easy tonight?" Alaric asked.
"Yeah. I should. But before I do, there's something I gotta tell you. For one, I almost went into my final form, but I didn't. Second, I've been thinking about MG and Kaleb. Look, I get that this town has its history with vampires. Most of it was bad. But if any of these Vamp students are sent out into the world, with little to no experience of controlling their hunger around human blood, if you thought one ripper vampire was bad, imagine a dozen more?" Eli, while he's not too fond of vampires, he doesn't hate all of them. And he has to acknowledge that they're just as important to the supernatural world as witches and werewolves are.
Alaric thinks about Eli's words and while he wants to help theses students, vamp ones most of all, he can't just can't. "I get as part vampire, you felt that there should be a second voice for them, but... it's a bit too risky."
"More risky then allowing werewolves to roam free around national parks or canyons or even mountains?" Eli asked. "Witches need to learn some offensive spells, and maybe some advance magics, Werewolves would also need Moonlight Amulets if they don't wish to turn on full moons and if they wish to go through the shifts, then they should be allowed to choose wether or not they want to roam the national parks, canyon swamps, and mountains. Not just lock themselves in a basement or something. As for vampires, they need someone older and experienced to teach them control. And maybe have humans, witches and maybe werewolves to donate blood so that way they can get used to it and learn control. I mean you and Dorian talk about shaping young minds, yet all I see is you guys not really doing much to teach them. And yes, I know we can be dangerous to humans. But if we had like some teachers and if the lessons of this place improved a bit, then we won't have to be dangerous." Eli gets up after saying his peace. "Just think about, Ric."
🐺🧛🏻♂️
In the library, Eli was looking for something to read when he stops dead in his tracks. "Hey." He turns and smiles as it's Hope. "Great work back there. I know facing that demon wasn't easy."
"Yeah, well facing monsters like that aren't easy." Eli replied.
"Hey maybe when summer comes up, I can introduce you to my family."
Eli isn't sure if he's ready to meet The Original Family. The Mikaelsons. He doesn't even think they'll like him because he's the son of the man that harmed Hayley when she was pregnant with Hope. And she was family to them. So there was no doubt they would hold animosity towards Eli's dad, and maybe hold some to even his son. Well, not Marcel. Or Davina. Or even Keelin. "Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"They don't know you. And it's not like they're gonna wear your spine like a necklace." Hope assured him. "Look, I'll tell them first about you and I'll make sure they behave themselves."
