After being in the hot shower for what felt like forever, Eli gets out of the shower and drys himself and looks at himself in the mirror.
Even he barely gotten any sleep. Then again, it's hard to sleep when you're this angry and sad.
He kept playing that night over and over again. He fantasized about hurting or killing Damon. And when he had him in his grip, his life in his hands, he just... couldn't. Like something was preventing him from doing something Eli wanted to do for a long time. It makes him so angry that he couldn't do it.
He feels so much anger towards him. The hate. He breathes so heavily, that his eyes shifted again to their yellow colour. In a fit of rage, he punches the mirror.

While on the couch, laying on his back, Emma tries to understand what was going on in his head. "You must have felt a great deal of rage. Seeing Damon Salvatore for the first time in 11 years. What prompted you to go after him?" Eli merely sighs. He gets that he almost killed the guy. Key word, almost. But he doesn't see the point in talking about it. "Please, Eli. Sometimes talking about it helps."
"Does it?" Eli asked, skeptic about it. "You'd think after 11 years, the hatred I had for Damon would have lessened over time. But every time I sleep, I see him. On the road. Moving so fast that it looked unreal. Veins appearing under his eyes. His Sclera turning red. His fangs appearing. I thought he was some monster." He glanced at Emma. "And you know what? He was. And what I can't understand is this: he's done so many things. Things that are unforgivable. Yet everyone is so damn quick to forgive him. Almost everyone expects me to forgive him. Would you? If he killed your husband, your daughter, your parents, a loved one, would you be so quick to forgive him then?"
For awhile, Emma has wondered that. She wonders why Alaric and the others at that time were quick to forgive Damon for his actions. One could use the excuse that his humanity was off. Or that Sybil told him to and he couldn't resist. And ends up turning it off anyhow. Then again, that was always the problem with vampires. Some are unable to handle their emotions and sometimes would turn off. Then again, vampires can be dangerous wether their humanity is off or not.
It was a good thing Eli didn't turn his off, otherwise, Damon wouldn't have survived that night.
Emma went back into answering his question. "No, I suppose I couldn't. But then the question stands. Why didn't you kill him?" She asked. "You had him against the tree. You could've finished him off then. Yet you didn't. Why?"
"I DON'T KNOW!" Eli snaps. "I don't know, ok?! It's like... something's preventing me from even acting on it." Eli would have thought he was going crazy, but he should have been able to kill Damon. He even planned on ripping his heart out, yet for odd reasons, he can't. Almost like his killer instincts is being suppressed. He has no problem killing would be werewolf-hunters, but now he can't kill the man that killed his father? "I'm sorry I snapped at you. I'm just so..."
"It's ok. I understand, Eli. We can talk about this another time." Emma said to him, having him get up and leave. Only leaving the guidance council wondering if Eli really couldn't go through with it because Hope and Bonnie, or was something really holding him back.
🐺🧛🏻♂️
After getting dressed, Eli leaves his dorm and is heading to Emma's office. And Alaric decided that should Eli want to run in wolf form, he's to go with Hope. As he can't risk Lockwood encountering Damon again.
As Eli walks in the hall, already students starting mourning about him. His actions from last night had spread. But he ignores them all.
He sees Hope and Rafael and catches up to them with vamp speed. "Eli? Hey, are you... are you okay my man?"
"I will be. Just not now. And tell the pack that I'll see them shortly." Eli replied. "Hey Hope."
"Hey. How are you feeling?" Hope asked, as even she can smell some anger in him.
"Like I said. I'll be fine. Just not now." Eli coldly replied. But then they see two people in front of them.
One of them being Cassie. Rafael's dead girlfriend. But the other women... Eli can sense that there's something familiar about her. She has a very slim face complemented with high cheekbones, thin lips, and almond-shaped eyes. She has a peaches-and-cream complexion and long, medium brown hair usually worn down in waves. Not to mention she has a very slim and athletic figure.
While Rafael takes Cassie to his Dorm, Eli examines the women in front of him. With Hope by his side. "Eli, you know her?"
"I'm... I'm not sure. I think I do." Eli couldn't be to sure who this is. "Ummm, Miss?"
And when she looks at him, she asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm Eli." He simply replied.
"Your... your full name. Please." This women's behaviour changed when Eli said his name. He wonders what will he gain from saying his full name.
"Eli Matteo Lockwood." That's when the women's eyes widened with shock. "Now what's yours?"
"non lo sai, vero? chi pensi che ti abbia dato quel nome? (you don't know, do you? who do you think gave you that name?)"
Eli was taken aback by that. But he thought about the question the women asked him. And then he realized it. There was only one photo of this women.
Back in Seattle. His Aunt Elaine showed him a picture of her.
And that picture was his mother.
Eli swallowed hard. He knows someone is bringing dead people here, but he can't help but be so overwhelmed as he never thought he would meet his mother.
This was Luna Lupo.
"Dio mio. Sei veramente tu? (oh my god. is that really you?)." The women nods, her own tears are forming. "Mom."
The two embrace each other and Hope is worried. Because she's wondering if the dead are being used as a distraction to get the knife. But at the same, she doesn't want to spoil this first meeting with Eli's mom.
Sorry for the short chapter
