Eli calls a "Super-Squad" meeting between Pedro, Druscilla, Wade and Jed; eventually Kaleb joins with Kym's research. Eli sends Jed to find Dorian and Emma.

Meanwhile, he and Rafael track Cupid.

The "Super-Squad" eventually locate "Cupid", however find that he is eating someone's heart in a downtown public house. Which is odd to Eli, because he doesn't recall Cupid doing that unless... "of course. Collectively known as the Erotes, lore dictates that they are a group of winged gods representing the multiple dimensions of love and desire. According to some texts, they were infallible, and all mortals were said to worship them for their ability to share the divine power of love. So to say."

Landon knows this too. And whispered to Eli. "Then his only known weakness will be a poisonous plant, so named Devil's Ivy. If I can consume that type of plant and tricked him into consuming my heart, it'll poison and kill him."

"Great thinking. Do that." Eli whispered back before Hope arrives, angry that Landon again attempted to be the hero in the situation and Eli let him, to which he retorts be saying he shouldn't have to always remain on the sidelines because he can't call in his powers at will.

Regardless, she uses her magic and is able to hit Cupid with her arrows, and he seems dead. But when they check, he is gone, leaving behind only a pool of blood.

MG eventually gives up on his attempt to seduce Alyssa and reveals his interest in Kym and asks Alyssa where the ascendant is located. She tells him that she has always liked him but he has never noticed her due to his affection for Lizzie. She shows him the ascendant, however purposefully drops it, however, Derek, who was there watching due to having a psychic vision, was able to arrive on time and caught it.

She leaves shortly after leaving MG and Derek alone; Hope enters and is glad that MG's tasks was successfully. Even though Derek helped him out.

Eli and Landon later return to Alyssa and Hope's room where he finds that she has been shot by one of the monster's arrows.

Eli manages to distract the monster — by telling him how much he loves Hope.

Then Landon stabs himself with the arrow and "Cupid" eventually rips out his heart and eats it. He dies shortly after and when Landon resurrects, both he and Eli reveal that he ate everything he could find that was lethal to Erotes; this reveals that the monster they were up against is Pothos.

In Hope's Dorm, Eli visits her. "Hey."

"Hey. I'm sorry for being angry at you. It's just that I didn't want Rafael to lose a brother." Hope said.

"I understand. You care for the both of them. As do I." Eli nods. "But he can't keep sitting on the sidelines forever."

Hope agrees. "You know, both of you have a knack for studying monsters and other mythical beings. Maybe you guys should write your own books on it."

Eli chuckled. "Yeah right. I maybe smarter than the average jock, but not that smart. And..." Eli's senses picked up something else behind him. As he and Hope look to where Eli was looking, they see a white fox.
