Turns out Kai has no intention of remaining in the prison world and thus a magical fight begins and although Derek is the superior witch here, Kai tried an explosion spell, knocking Josie back and shattering the hourglass which contained the dark magic Josie had been using, and all of it is pouring into her.
Even as the blast knocks them all out, Kai was the only one that was able to recover. And when he got to the portal that lead to his freedom, he attempted to destroy the Porta, but the object proved indestructible. But somehow he was able to close the portal. Trapping the others in the prison world.
"Derek, please tell me you have another plan of getting us out." Eli has no intention of staying here. He can't believe this would've been the place Alaric would put him in.
"Actually there is."
"How?" Alaric asked. "Didn't Kai destroy The Porta?"
"No. He couldn't. According to my dad, strangely enough, it can only be destroyed by an artifact called The Knife Of Hekate. My dad said that in Ancient Greece, Hekate taught her followers, who were witches, on how to make powerful artifacts. But a high priestess of hers also created another artifact. Which is the knife I told you about... I know, I'm babbling. Anyways, I can connect with The Porta because the ritual circle is still there. All I need is to channel more power. As soon as Hope finds Lizzie, we can began."
"I'll join her. Lizzie is likely with Sebastian." Alaric goes to get his daughter but Eli grabs him by the arm.
"We're gonna talk about this when we get back and after we deal with Kai."
"I know." Alaric knows that he's likely in trouble for this. He will have to explain this. But after he finds Lizzie and gets out of this world. And of course, deals with Kai.

While Eli was talking with Jade, Diego and Wendy, Derek senses the dark magic within Josie.
He has used dark magic before, but not this much and he can sense a lot within her. "Are you alright, Jo?"
"I'm fine. But maybe we should figure out another way to leave this place without the need of Hope and her Lockwood Boyfriend." Derek noticed her behavior and is worried for her. He knows dark magic can change people in worse ways one can imagine.
"Well we're doing this my way."
Josie rolled her eyes. Thinking this is a waste of time.
Meanwhile Eli is talking with Diego about how he came to the school and the wolves in the school and taught him about him being part werewolf and part lycan. How he can live for a very long time and he will still look like he's in his prime.
Diego is intrigued by this. Not only will he become much stronger then he has before, but will be able to turn anytime he wants and can control himself. But that he would have to feed on animals or humans (the former he'd be feeding on), and the pack had a hierarchy. Diego seems interested in becoming a wolf like Eli, and even though he's 27, his body is still seventeen. And even though he'll be an Epsilon Wolf, he'll likely rise quickly due to his greater control over his wolf. Plus something tells him that he can trust Eli more than Alaric. And while the young wolf will not forgive Alaric anytime soon, Diego will still follow Eli and while he may not forgive Alaric anytime soon, he won't miss this second chance.
