So the newly turned hybrid wolves turned into their werewolf forms as it's more familiar to them. It came as no surprise to Eli. After all, he kept turning into that form because it was simple for him. The other forms require emotional triggers.
But until then, he turns with them and he tells them to follow him into the woods. They also got a little riled up. So Eli being the alpha he is, displays his dominance by going into his Hispo form. Towering over them.
