When Eli returned, of course Hope is still hostile towards him. So he tries to ease the tension and at the very least tries to talk Hope into forgiving him and tells Landon not to worry too much.
He decided that he needed to tell Hope something. So he knocks on her dorm and she opens it. "Mind if I come in?"
"It's almost time for bed, but sure. Just make it quick." Hope said to him and he nods and enters. Eli can see pictures of her family. Among those photos is someone Eli hasn't seen since he was five or six years old.
Hayley Marshall-Kenner.
"I've seen her before. When I was maybe five or six. On Thursday, October 5th, 2017. The night of the full moon. I met your mom."
This caught Hope's attention. "Where?"
"In Minnesota, St. Paul. Where I was born. I was with my dad's witch friend when my dad was in the forest to turn." Eli explains. "Then one night, a couple of werewolf hunters came inside in hopes they could use me to lure my dad out after he was done roaming around the park. But I ran and hid. And before they could find me, your mom saved me by killing them."
Hope never knew that. That her mom met Eli when he was a little kid. At first she would wonder why her mom was on the run. But then she remembered that Freya once told her that she was looking for werewolf venom because Marcel bit both Kol and Elijah, and her father, Klaus was held hostage by The Upgraded Vampire. This was due to the fact that Freya and Elijah sacrificed Davina to defeat Lucian Castle. But Davina's soul was tore apart and Marcel became the beast to get revenge on The Mikaelsons. However, thanks to Freya, she put the rest of the family, minus Klaus, Hayley and Hope under The Immortality Slumber Spell, which will buy Hope's mother enough time to find a cure.
Hope could only imagine how many people that hated her father felt that day. When they heard Klaus taken down by someone far stronger then him. Ironic enough, it was the very one he adopted and called son. Indeed, The Mystic Gang, minus Caroline, would have celebrated his downfall. However they had problems of their own and it was highly unlikely they heard about it.
"She was very nice. I was scared of those men and she comforted me. Stayed with me until I fell asleep." Eli explained and looked at Hope. "Your mom was a good women. She saved my life." Hope shed some tears. Knowing her mother did something good while trying to save her family. "Anyways, I thought you should know. Goodnight, Hope."
"Thanks for telling me, Eli. And good night." Hope kissed him on the cheek, and he formed a small smile and hugged her.

This morning, Eli is in the shower washing himself. Feeling the nice hot water on his skin. Washing his torso and back, touching his werewolf mark, which Emma is trying to figure out where it came from as she thought the crescent wolves were the only ones that had werewolf marks. Which symbolizes them as royalty in the werewolf community. She's never seen a werewolf with a mark of a paw print in that particular symbol.
