Eli, Hope, Landon and Alaric woke up to find that it's morning. Figuring that they've been out for awhile now. Their clothes are slightly dirty, and as they got up, they can see the crater, where the Merman was.
Eli smells nothing of the creature. But can tell that this is where it died. And The Urn is still intact. He also feels that a part of his memory is missing. He looks at Landon and doesn't know how they found him.
Even when Alaric asked Hope if she remembers, he can sense that she's lying. But chooses not to ask further as he can likely guess what it is. The good news is that Landon gets to stay at the school with them after all. Eli is sure that Rafael is gonna be happy about it. To have his brother back again.
And speaking of him, along with the pack, he feels like he needs to explain a couple of things to them so they understand what was going on with him. So he makes himself known to the pack by appearing to them as a black wolf, howling to get their attention.

The pack looks to see Eli in wolf form, are all amazed that he can turn at will. And they can smell how powerful he is.
As he gets in front of them, he shifts back into his human with his clothes on, thanks to the ring Hope gave him.
Eli scans members of the pack. He sees Rafael, Cassio and Jed.
"So, I don't know what you've heard, so I'll get it out into the open." Eli takes a deep breath and excels before explaining. "As you know, a necromancer has been bringing people back from the graves. My dad was among them. For those of you who don't know him, his name is Tyler Lockwood. He was thought to be the last of his family line. But that wasn't the truth because I'm his son. It was just me and him at that time. I didn't know about the supernatural world. All I knew was that once every month, my dad will leave me with a babysitter, while he go into national parks and transform and so on. He was my best friend. I've been raised by him for five years until, December 2017, he was killed by the very same vampire whose surname is of this school. Damon. Who's now human." The other pack members begin to murmur, as they've heard of that particular vampire before.
Damon was responsible for the deaths of Mason and Tyler. "And that night when I... was force to let my dad be at peace, all the rage and hate I felt towards that vamp that killed him boiled up into this point. So I tracked him down and dragged him into a forest and gave him the worst beat down of his life. He was human so there was no way he can beat me now.
