After Landon tackles Hope, she uses this as an opportunity to leave the game early. She enters the Salvatore School, reminiscing over what she has lost due to Malivore and enters Rafael's room to get clothes. She tries to track him using a locator spell, but is interrupted by Landon who asks what she is doing in his room.
He attempts to flee, and Hope is forced to use magic to stop him, eventually explaining that she is a witch and is trying to find Rafael. Landon insists that he is going along with her, much to her dismay.
"Yeah, Raf should be up ahead."
"Cool." Landon looks at Hope who has a look on his face.
"Meaning not cool." Hope said, knowing what's out there. She's also worried for Eli. Knowing that he's part werewolf.
"Sorry. It's just nothing."
Hope turns around and faces him. "Meaning something."
"It's stupid, but when Raf was first stuck as a wolf, he used to always hang out with me, but then he, like, he stopped. Like, he forgot or he moved on."
Hope smirked but understands why Landon thinks that. "And you're worried that it's gonna be the same when he's human again?"
"Told you it was stupid." He looks at her and then doesn't.
"I don't think it's stupid. It's painful to lose someone that you love." 'Me and Eli know how that feels.'
Landon quietly says. "Yeah. Oh, I know all about that. I grew up in the foster system. Getting bounced around from family to family made me want to shut everybody out until I realized life's a lot harder without someone watching your back."
"Trust me, Landon, you don't have to worry about anyone forgetting you. And I'm sure someone must have Raf's back." Hope was trying to remind Landon that Eli is also looking after him.
"Oh yeah. Eli Lockwood. When he got back from Italy, he spent some time with Raf in wolf form. They can understand each other. You know, wolves having a universal language. Plus he seems a little different."
